Our 6 yr old DD will have a blast--and next, she's pulling for a Hawaii cruise (gotta stop turning on the Travel channel)---so how come the Spirit doesn't travel there in the summer? I like when I tell my waitperson at the first dinner that I will have coffee and my wife will have Ice tea with lemon with our dinner everyday that I wont have to say it again. In fact the lemon will already be on the table by my wife's chair. When I tell my bar service person that I will have a VO Manhatten before dinner everyday it will come as soon as they see I'm seated. After the first day you don't have to start allover again introducing yourself to those sharing your table. Or if you wanted and got a table for two you know you will have it everyday and not be told "no table for two available right now". If everybody stays in port late and comes to dinner at the same time do you think everybody will get seated without a wait. Or will they just say "I'm not standing in line for a table" and go up to the Lido deck buffet line. So I say leave a good thing alone. IF IT'S NOT BROKE DON'T FIX IT."BIG" ED Bob,

The comment on P & O "they're letting ordinary people on now" was by a fellow guest - part of the "antiquated class system" which even now clings on in the UK as you say. We were lucky with our table - 2 couples who despite being "better off" than we are were extremely nice & friendly people. Takes all sorts. Black pudding is not about to appear on the menu thank you! Paulette is currently freezing in Alaska but otherwise fine. Anyone on the Spirit please say "hi". By the way it was p----ing it down in UK on the Bank Holiday Monday (as usual!)
