I have a big sewing job in the works. I may have to bring my sewing machine for my holiday in order to get it done by the deadline. On second thought ... NOT!

I just wanted to tell you that I had a GREAT time on Carnival Freedom with you Heidi and the rest of the crew May 25 - June 06, 2007. You really out did yourself and I enjoyed every minute of it. The morning and afternoon shows, excrusion meetings and the shows were all GREAT!!! As my Aunt and Uncle have said you are the best in the industry and they had you on their first cruise in 1991. I hope that all is going well at my third home. LOL!!! Well I will close for now. Please tell the Carnival family hello from me. It is good being back at work even though it is very hot here now 115-120 degrees. We are drinking alot of water and getting as much rest as we can. Until later,James Nolan

Good evening from Iraq John,<br

While trying to find the answer the trivia question i came across a old article that said P&O was going to merge with RCL but I thought I remember you saying it was part of the carnival corp. Just was curious to know if P&O is part of Carnival (best cruise line in the world!) or RCL? Love the blog your the best CD look forward to the next blog and welcome back Heidi John really missed you.

Do we need to book excursions online prior to our cruise or can we book them on board? Have had different experiences with cruise lines where there was no need to book in advance but some where there was hardly any availability on board? Only 27 days to go now......hoping for good weather as its more like November than June in 'not so sunny Scotland' today!!

John<br

You need to take a cruise.
Sorry, but we don't just hand over our luggage. We collect it at the baggage carousel, we drag it someplace to wait until our shuttle rumbles in, then we drag it through the baggage claim and out the door and on the sidewalk and down the sidewalk and then we hand it over. It does sound nice to just hand it over, but don't do it because that may be why you have 80 lost luggages! It does keep us occupied in those last few minutes before we get our Floating Resort FunShip, and it is the ONLY reason to pack light. So my luggages have wheels. There is also the empty hardside to bring back the loot we collect! (and dirty laundry that doesn't have to be carryon returning because I have things at home)

Mah John,<br

Well my wife Sandy and I just completed a 12 day Baltic cruise on the Norwegian Dream (a 15 year old ship, 50,000 tons). The Captain claimed the ship was not designed for free style cruising. As for me I didn't like it, as for Sandy it was fine. Had to stand in line waiting to be seated, then the waiter asks if you want to share, if you don't, then more waiting time. At times the food was cold, and to top it off one had to wait a very long time before the food was served. And I do like the idea (as John put it) that you have the same server and bus attendant for all your diner meals. So all in all I like the way Carnival does it. Also the dress code discussion, as for me I just love to get dressed up, Sandy can take it or leave it (more to leave it) so here again I like the way Carnival does it. Our next cruise is June 23, 2007 on the Carnival Liberty, I mentioned this to John on my last blog to him. One day, John, we will cruise again, you just are the best cruise director out there, haven't found one like you yet and probably won't, lucky Carnival Cruise Line and all the Freedom guests. All the best top you and yours,Bob & Sandy Colonna

I love it!! I will be on the Freedom 4/12/08 with my daughter Nikki. I am taking her as a graduation gift. (although she doesn't graduate until 2009, her senior year will be very busy). I hope you will still be with the Freedom at that time. It is a Western Caribbean itinerary. This will be her first cruise and my first with Carnival. I can not wait!! What kind of public games are there on Freedom? Such as do you do a Newlywed game or scavenger hunt kinda thing as on other curise lines? As I said I'm new to Carnival and am so looking forward to it. I'm sure we will love it. Until then, I'm addicted to your blog. Thanks for your dedication.

My question to you is in looking at the web cam on Carnival Freedom, is that we do not know what port you are in or what port you may be headed to, is there any plans to maybe some day fixing this? My other question is that the time is in GMT, what is the differents between GMT and local time. Hope to see you 379 days. Keep up the great work, and see you and Heidi soon.
