It is guys like him that makes our Freedom so sweet. Our trip to New Orleans was to see off our nephew Joe who is in the USMC. He is currently on his way to Iraq and called from Germany a few hours ago saying they had a short lay over. We have promised to take him on a cruise when he returns next year. When the time gets closer I might ask a favor to make it special for him. I enjoyed the story about John Horner. It is guys like him that makes our Freedom so sweet. I just read Kathy Krolls comments to you about Alaska. And I have to agree with her. Alaska, is probably my favorite of all the cruises I have been on so far (7 in 3 years). Not because of the cruise line or the service, entertainment, etc. But the Experience it self. The inland passage cruise is just that... an experience!!! It is fantastic. We also took the White Pass trail Railroad tour. We took a bus to the Yukon and visited Car Cross (actually in a desert area) and Emerald Lake (so beautiful... like looking at the Northern Lights). We spent a day in Glacier Bay and took a helicopter ride over the Glaciers. Watched a native eskimo building a totem pole. This is nearly a lost art, and is handed down to the next generation. Think about it!!! Alaska is fabulous! Big Ed and Mrs. Big Ed…
