But in truth I was the bear. I've been YOGI BEAR in Grayling, Michigan and Orlando, Florida. As Yogi I would be chased by the Ranger after I would steal a campers food basket. My son, SNOOPY, would play BOO BOO. I will have to find some of the photos of me as YOGI. With that suit on and running around the campground I would almost die on a hot day. When I took the suit off it was straight to the pool to cool off.Since I was also the big man in red for over 30 years at Christmas for my KofC I realy feel for FUNSHIP FREDDY. I now what it's like in those suits. Not just the heat but those little kids tugging on you from all directions as you walk. But yes, just like your job you took the few bad ones to enjoy seeing the eyes of the rest of them."BIG" EDso now you know why
I'M SMARTER THEN THE AVERAGE BEAR

Anyhow, I see a lot of bloggers are voting for Caribbean (NOT Alaska) cruises. For Jo Myerly, you can find Russell Stover Sugar free jelly beans at grocery stores like Publix, and Walmart grocers and also Hallmark card shops sell them (they aren't seasonal) at least not in Florida. Well, John - how is Heidi doing these days, you haven't mentioned her much! I am looking forward to her next blog too! Today Mike turned the BIG 60, I got him this shirt and hat that says "born in 1947 and still raising hell". I am saving the bloggers shirts for our cruise. He will be surprised. Just so you know if anyone is interested: Cruise Connections based out of Sarasota, Florida runs buses to different parts of Florida picking up guests going to Ft. Lauderdale and Miami ports ($75 per person) round trip! It is better than fighting traffic, gas prices and paying for parking at the ports. And much more relaxed, they even have TV on the buses, and stop for bathroom breaks and a rest stop in Vero Beach where you can shop for food, etc. Mike and I have used this before and will again in November. Sounds like you won't be doing many Caribbean cruising anymore John, you like Europe huh? Close to home too! Well, have a nice week! Linda & Mike (your friends forever)!!!!!!!!!

Hi John, Again I vote for the Liberty for the bloggers cruise if it won’t be the Splendor, but I wish it were the Splendor! I was gone for a week and it took me 3 days to catch up on the blog thingy. Last night, I finally did it, only to come on this morning and find 2 new ones awaiting me! It must be those yummy jelly beans, not only do they provide enough power to cause a broken nose but they make those fingers go fast too!
I want to put in my bid for the next blogger's cruise to the Caribbean. I live in snowy NE Ohio and it is the most exciting thing to leave town as a snowstorm is getting ready to hit! A tropical getaway is just the thing to take away the winter time woes.
Thanks again for the blog thingy! Waiting to hear from Heidi soon! We need another post from her.

Boy John, your typing fingers must be worn to the knuckles. We looked at several stores for jelly beans over the weekend but didn't find any. I wonder if the stores only carry them at Xmas and Easter?? Any way not to worry I found several different kinds of sugerfree candy for you to try. No chocolate I was afraid they would melt. If you find you like them I'll bring more on the bloggers cruise. And in January jelly beans should make their return. :)
I vote for the Carnival Liberty or Carnival Legend for the next bloggers cruise. We love the Legend and the Liberty is wireless so both are good. Alaska is beautiful but expensive to fly to. Also the season is shorter. We prefer warm weather cruises.
I wish you could name names on the airlines that are the worst luggage losers. Last year we flew Alitalia on our Carnival Liberty cruise. We got the flights from Carnival. The flight was awful and the people were rude. If that was the only choice I would stay home.Jo

Hi John, Thanks for saving me a scrapbook. The article about Carnival is the third one down (right above it is my article on the perfect cruise ship). Here's the link:http://www.commercialappeal-web.com/travel/category/just-cruising/I'm one of the official travel bloggers for the paper, so I'll be writing up our fall TA. Sometimes they put my stuff in the Sunday paper (my Turkey article got two pages and four or five pix), but don't hold your breath.I soooo enjoy your daily blog. What an extra effort for someone who is already so busy! One thing I worry about -- your passengers who are unreasonable always seem to get rewarded for bad behavior. Are you training people to be troublesome? Should I be troublesome?Nah!

I thought I would share a posting I have done on our local (Memphis) newspaper about Carnival.
