Me too! Normally I avoid lawyer shows, but I checked this one out just to see how Captain Kirk was doing - and I discovered what a wonderfully wacky but intelligent show it is.
Is Heidi watching on satellite or on DVD? If satellite, and she wants to catch up on season 1, I have it on DVD if she wants to borrow it. I could mail it to her and then retrieve it on the bloggers cruise. I expect I'll also get seasons 2 & 3 soon if she is interested in them as well.

So, Heidi likes “Boston Legal”. Me too! He is quite a character.I had no idea about the author situation in the library. I guess you live and learn, but as you know, its safe to say that someone is going to be offended if there aren't Jewish authors, Hindu books, etc.I like the car pictures. Those are much nicer than many you can find here in the states. It could be worse. You could find yourself in a pinto (look it up).Stay clear of Noro germs. I know how nasty that can be.And finally, Thank you for the wonderful wishes for myself and my wife. Hard to believe one year has quickly passed. I'm hoping we can last another 60 years too. After this weekend, it was a close call :)Stay cool and think of the people being slammed by Felix and soon-to-be Henriette.David

Great interview with Todd today. They did the Walk for the Cure on their cruise.A comment on the taxis in Civitavecchia. Since we had a lot of luggage on our cruise we tried to make certain there would be taxis on debarkation day to take us to the train station. We had asked a taxi driver in town the week before and he said yes taxis would do that. We also asked at the Purser's desk the night before and they assured us there would be taxis. Well after we debarked the ship and tried to find a taxi, we waited, and waited, and waited, but no taxis. Any taxi we found would take us to the train station in Rome but not in Civi. After waiting a looong time we took the shuttle to town and walked to the train station. That was the only bad part of our entire journey. It was hot and with our loads of luggage it was unpleasant to say the least. We made it but we agree that it's something that needs to be looked into.Regarding church services. Carnival only has a priest (Catholic) on board for Christmas and Easter as far as we can find. We were lucky enough during our 7 weeks in Europe and on the cruise to be able to find a church for 6 of those weeks. The one we missed was a sea day and the day before was Istanbul and we would have left too early to find a church. As a coincidence, we were watching TV on that Sunday and found a TV Mass that we watched the rest of. A website that is useful to us to find a church is masstimes.org. This lists churches and mass times all over the world and so far it has worked for us. Sometimes the times are not accurate so we try to call if we can to verify them.Three months from now we'll be on the Glory but with the hurricanes who knows where we'll be going. As long as we cruise it will be great.Do you know the time frame you'll be sailing from
Florida? We're trying to find out where we'll be when you're there.Have a great week.George and Linda

Hello John and Heidi,

Thanks for keeping the blogs up.

My brother and sister-in-law just did an Alaskan cruise on HAL and had a great time. I'm finally recovering from being on vacation. I'm sure a few of you out there know what I mean. My toddler had a great time in Camp Carnival and I thought being a soccer mom driving from practice to game was too much. Well it wasn't as much as picking up my 3 year old from Camp Carnival between 10pm and 3am.
My teenager had a fun time too in Club O2. He made several friends. Which for me translates into more long distance bills. Nevertheless, great fun was had. Mr. Lyons had a great time on deck and abroad.
It was my third Carnival cruise, my teens second Carnival cruise, my toddlers third Carnival cruise and Mr. Lyons' first Carnival. We all had a good time. The stage shows were the classy and professional. The chocolate warming cake was a taste worth remembering...YUMMY!
I'd like to keep in touch and chat with all who was on this cruise and would like to share experiences.
Thank you,
Mrs. Lyons from California

Hello All Freedom riders from August 17th – 29th, 2007,<br

It is Labor Day weekend in the states and I spent time this morning preparing some recipes that will stand up to travel. Now, what I need to know is, what is your schedule? When are you leaving the ship for home? I had planned to mail the box toward end of this week. Then I started thinking about it. When are you leaving the ship?
Please let me know.
I figured out from today's post that you were on the Athens run. I may be able to get it to Italy before you come in from this run. Hope so anyway!
Hope you will enjoy the goodies!
Take care!

Good evening John and Heidi!<br

Yes, I admit we sailed on RCCL (the first and last time). However, they had hand sanitizers out in front of every restaurant and a crew member there to be sure everyone used it going in. That seems so simple and so much better than "trusting" passengers to do it on their own. Why isn't CCL more diligent with the sanitizers???

John – last Christmas we strayed. Yes, I admit we sailed on RCCL (the first and last time).
