Just returned from our trip on the Legend and have to say, first of all, I really LOVED my balcony room on the 8th deck. I can’t believe the things that people complain about. I’m surprised they didn’t complain about nosebleeds!! I particularly liked that there was a good degree of privacy afforded from all directions.

I was a little disappointed in not getting to meet “Bubba” but he was on vacation and Jen was the CD. I’m sorry to say that I can’t rate her high on the ladder of Cruise Directors – but think of whom I’ve been comparing her to . . .

Our waitperson, Gama, was the best server we have ever had over our many years of cruising. (Here I was going to mention a waiter from whom we were given terrible service on another Carnival ship a few years back, but then realized that he must have been liked by some cruisers in order for him to get promoted to Captain.

This shows that for every complaint that you have to listen to, that there are many, many more that feel just the opposite.

A lovely 6-year old girl won two tickets to the specialty dining room. Unfortunately her parents couldn’t take advantage of the opportunity, but happily they offered the tickets to my Dearly Beloved and I to celebrate our 70th birthdays. What an awesome meal experience that was. We could only use the tickets on the evening before arriving home and I can truly now say that “We started the week as passengers and left as cargo!!” And now to dream about the next voyage . . .

I think John did not want to see any comments about his hair that day. I thought his hair look just like the letter openers. See I reposted what I said below.

John, since I’m in OZ, Greenwood Acres Campground in Jackson Michigan, and doing my internet time in a WENDY’S I don’t have time to go back and look for it but I had the answer to the religious issue the first time it came up. I will try to remember some of it.

Have a channel on the TVs with faith based programs. I’m sure all faiths would be willing to make a service just for cruise ships. Some to even say at the start that this would cover their religious requirements.

For those that would want to be in more of a group setting you could have different meeting areas set up to view the services.

For those the feel they need a live service the pursers desk could have a list of churches in each port and the times of services. I’m sure that the ports could compile this list. Most hotels have lists of nearby churches for their guest now.

Nice letter opener but you hair looks just like it in the picture. LOL

I am excited about the balcony on this cruise. (October 4) I actually went into one on the Glory. I am sure the people in that cabin thought I had lost my mind when I asked to see their cabin. The room was really big and the balcony was plenty big enough for Happy Hour…lol (Seems more than 75sq ft.) I work with a travel agent and he says this is better than a suite because of the wrap balcony. Please let me know when you return how it really is. And…if you leave any dirty socks under the bed, I will retrieve them and give them to John…LOL LOL Take care and I will be waiting for your response.

Linda Hernacki – I know what you mean about odors. I can’t stand to be near anyone wearing perfume, or that new sweet-smelling disinfectant they are using on the buses & trains. Yuk. I feel like it gets over everything – my shoes, my hands, my bag. Double yuk. But what is really funny is that smoking doesn’t bother me too much.

Kevin – (the Real Kevin) Thank you so much. I am in Chocolate Heaven (Great name – Kevin’s Chocolate Heaven). It’s almost 7:30 in the morning and I want to go out and cook this up now. I hate separating eggs but I will make an exception. And your Cruise to Nowhere – I hope you don’t get dizzy since the ship will be going in circles. Just kidding. I tried talking a friend from work into this cruise, but she thought $500 was too much money for a day and a half of doing nothing (with a balcony). I kind of agree, but my ideas of the cruise are a little different than hers. Anyway, have a fun-tastic time. Now don’t forget to try & pick out landmarks!
