Its a real shame living in Texas to miss out on great events like this. Oh well. Mr. Zamarti's interivew brings back some wonderul memories. I do miss the origination of the Verandah deck and its only 10 suites. Looking back on it, the rooms were "huge" from my vantage point of being a little kid. A true pioneer and innovator in the industry. I would love to hear more of his stories. Cinque Terre looks like quite an island chain. I'd like to visit there one day with the wifey. For some reason, the post has never cleared the reviewer - for reasons I know not why. It is an honor that you thought so much of me to give me the "response of honor" on my birthday blog. As for your post-Cruise Director career, I think that you should consider compiling a "Ripley's Believe It or Not" book of crazy comments & concerns expressed by passengers. I am certain that it will make for hilarious reading. Now, on to more serious business - one question that I posted in the missing response was a request for information on the types of mugs that Heidi collects - does she want mugs for places, universities, companies, or does it matter? The Mrs. & I would like to contribute to her collection, but in a manner that is unique. We continue to close in on the October 28th arrival - given your comment about the Italian Countryside not being at its best at the end of October, maybe I will save the money and consider something in one of our other ports. Most of our excursions don't get back to the ship until 5:30. Can you please assist us with a later time such as 8:00pm (even 8:30 if need be) P.S.: We did book the evening gondola ride and we'll get with you about a nice resturant in Venice where we can have a wondefull dinner in leiu of the cancelled Gondola (Champagne) ride we had originally booked. You spend so much time on this blog that I have just felt that you did not need one more blogger to answer. I really love this blog. You give out so much information and the blogger's comments are very informative as well. The reason for this slap is to congratulate you on 20 years with Carnival, congratulate you on more than 600,000 slaps to the blog and to tell you that I have really enjoyed all the blogs, the highs and lows, the interviews (all have been really great), the pictures and especially the information. But I love the humor the most and I look forward every day to see what the next blog will come up with. I also wanted to tell you that Emily and I will be on the Blogger's Cruise and we are really looking forward to it. Thank you for all the hard work you do for all of us on the ship and at home. And thank you to Heidi and Roberto and PA007 and all the rest of the Carnival staff for all the good work they do. See you in January. Bob and Emily John,
