I just can't believe how cruelly some people feel that they can teat others. I have seen this on other cruises and am always glad when someone steps in, because I would throw that person overboard! I had a very similar run in with a Mr.Cruella years ago....I will never forget it.....I work in a retail department store.... the "gentleman" was smoking, I asked Mr to put his cigarette out ... as he could be fined....he became irrate and stomped the cigarette out on our brand new carpeting!! he swore and left -- I couldn't believe his re-action. Thank goodness these people are in the minority. Way to go, standing up for the waiter...I'm sure that meant alot to him.I do have a question for you, were you on the Sensation (I think that was the ship), an inagural I believe....Carnival arranged for Windstar to rendezvous with the ship in the middle of the sea and sail with us for awhile.....anyway as Windstar got as close as possible to the Sensation the guests on board Windstar lined the one side of the vessel and all at the same time shouted "pardon me..... do you have any Grey Poupon?" -- It was priceless! If I remember correctly, it was shortly after Carnival had purchased Windstar. It was an amazing site seeing the 2 ships sailing together.I enjoy reading your blog. I like your new style too. There is a huge difference between customer service and allowing your employees to be abused. Her treatment of that man and the ship were nothing short of abuse! I hope that you and Heidi will get a much needed vacation soon. I'm sure that it is exhausting being "on duty" for 8 months without much of a break. I know that when Nate came home he said it was nice to not have to "be nice" for a few weeks. Do you only do interviews with the staff of the freedom?
