Just wanted to let you know that it has just been announced that John is the winner of Seatrade’s first-ever “Sea Going Employee of the Year.” The award is being presented as we speak at the Seatrade Europe convention in Hamburg, Germany. Although John wasn’t able to get away from the Carnival Freedom to accept the award in person, David Dingle, CEO of Carnival UK, was on hand to accept on John behalf and read some comments from John. 1. Can you tell us how long you have been working for Carnival Cruise Lines? What year did you start and what is your current position?
I have worked for Carnival Cruises Lines for almost 5 years .I started in 2003 and my current position is Laundry Manager on board the Carnival Freedom

2. Where are you from and what is the best thing about living there.
I come from Indonesia, I live in Bali. This interesting place is a tourist place where you can see the nice white beaches, places of interest and natural geographic culture of different art, Hindu ceremony in the biggest temple with attendance from most of the Bali society also special, everything related to the ceremony is economic, good and safe

Can you tell us how long you have been working for Carnival Cruise Lines? What year did you start and what is your current position?
I started with Carnival in February of 2005, and I am currently part of the entertainment staff

Where are you from and what is the best thing about living there?
I was Born in Rochdale, England, but brought up in Manchester since I was 4. The best thing about coming from there is it has everything to offer people, great shopping, nightlife, restaurants and entertainment. Also I can’t forget it is home to the greatest football (sorry soccer) team in the world…..Manchester United!

Good Morning to you and yours as we sail from Naples, Italy to Rhodes, Greece with today’s day at sea in between. Last nights show went ok but once again the demographics have changed completely and with the greatest respect I can tell you that last night there were some old………old……….people in the audience…………..and they had brought their parents with them !

Why is it also that people who have absolutely no intention of laughing for the entire show always………always sit on the front row. Last night that was the case and there were two couples on the front row who spent the entire 50 minutes sneering at me? One of the ladies was wearing the biggest pair of glasses I have ever seen………..I think she is here to do some welding. At the end of the show the guests all stood and applauded except the four people who just ………sneered. The two men were so grumpy I have arranged for them to sit up in the balcony for all the other shows…………….just like the two men from the Muppet Show !
