Right now I'm a 3rd Officer onboard a Canadian Government Ship. I love being at sea and sailing to different places. I am seriously considering applying to work as a Navigation Officer onboard cruise ships (although it seems that Carnival doesn't use Canadian Deck Officers). I was lucky enough to visit the bridge on the Carnival Conquest and it was amazing. I think the challenges that a large ship and so many passengers would bring would be exhilarating! Hi John,
