I am suprised to see this blog featuring my husband, Japhet. I don't know what to say..He's kind of husband one could cherish for a lifetime.
He will be home soon. Few more days. "Welcome home, Dad".

Japhet:

Ok, first, how do you pronounce that name! (Ya fet?)

Your work is endless and I can't imagine making 22 beds and cleaning 2 bathrooms every day! I am certain you miss your home country and your family. Your years of service! Wow!

So today, when I go offf to work I will think of you. You were not our steward, but I recognize and thank you for making our Carnival vacation so special. Behind the scenes but so important to us.......I'll try not to whine about my blessings today ( Making one bed and cleaning three toilets)

John - I've really enjoyed your blogs with crew members. Over six cruises, we've seen a truly hard-working group of people who go out of their way to give passengers a great vacation!

A question for you about ship's officers: Our oldest son (16, a junior in high school) is interested in a career at sea, either in the Navy or the Merchant Marine (his plans are a "work in progress). He's starting to look at colleges that would prepare him for a career as a ship's officer. We're sailing on the Valor in February; do you know whether it would be possible for him to meet an officer (either navigation or engineering) to talk about career paths, life at sea, etc? Thanks so much!

Hi John
As I looked at the blog this beautiful Long Island Sunday morning, the first thing I see is a smiling face that Jeanne and I were so, so happy to see at the door of our balcony state room on Freedom Japhet Gacus. Japhet had taken such excellent care of us on our previous sixteen day transatlantic cruise on The Liberty. We have alway had great service on our past Carnival criuses, but with Japhet we felt he just made the voyage extra special and on Freedom that was what we expirience again excellence.
Japhet Gacus is an asset to Carnival Criuse Line.
I hope to see him agian on our Voyage on Splendor. Please if you see him tell him Mr Raymond and Jeanne said hello and wish him the very best,we miss him also.
Thank's Ray Czenszak
