We were sad to hear this news beause we had the best time of our life. I am sure you will remember this when I tell you but I was on the cruise that on one of the shows you were rolling around the floor and your clothes were half off and there was a guy that you asked him how long was he married for and he said 7 LOnnnnnnnnnnnng years and every morning you would mention him in your morning news and I had such a great time.
I have since traveled 4 more times on carnival and still have not found a cruise director as good as you. They all have been pretty good but no one will compare to you. I am happy to see your back as a cruise director and I will love to book a cruise that you will be on as acting cruise director and would like to know how I can find this out since I book most my cruises 8-12 months a head of time.
Thanks again and looking forward to hearing from you. First off: If Mr. Mann's daughter married (and hyphenated her last name) Mr. Poo's son, would her name be Mrs Mann-Poo? I know, you had to have been there - OH you were there and laughed your head off!
I was on the Freedom 9/22 to 10/4 and had a very entertaining, exhausting, informative time. I don't know if you were the one to say it, but I was, in fact, "ruined" out.
I was a little disappointed the Angels and Demons tour was canceled on the 3rd. This would have given me an opportunity to meet you in person and to be taken to those spots related to the book. However, turning this into another wonderful day in Rome, we took the train in and then the Metro. Started at the Spanish steps, had lunch near the Trevi, saw the Parthenon, walked to the National Monument of Victor Emmanuel, through the forum and to the Colleseum! That was a full day of walking and site seeing! Having this excursion canceled was a gift, in some respects, as you can see.
I wanted to say, the program that the team did, visiting all the ports of call and giving everyone a heads up was wonderful. It would have been nice to see that prior to booking the excursions on line. I probably would have changed a couple of the ones we chose. Although, I don't regret any we did. I just think we were pushed for time on some, trying to do soooo much in such a short time. But it gave us an idea of where we want to go when we come back, to spend more time.
I loved Rhodes old town! That was the best!
I loved Plaka! I want to go back to Sorrento and spend more time there!
I had a wonderful time on this cruise. If you ordered up the weather, you did an EXCELENT JOB! Tell the boss to give you a raise for that!
By the way, how many nautical miles did we sail? I forgot to ask while on board.
Thanks for listening. Hope the rest of the season, now that it's coming to a close, goes well for you.

Would this Todd Have been on the Liberty in April 2007. He was the best Cruise Director on any of the 5 cruises I have been on and we were sadded when our cruise was his last on the Liberty. I was just wondering where he moved to. Thanks. Lisa

Just recently read your blog, and you mentioned in one, about Todd and The TA cruise. Lets all be honest and accept the fact that the Indians have outplayed the Yankees in both games thus far.It matters not to me, however - I am fully confident that the Yankees will win the series.-------John -On to non-baseball, cruise related issues. You have mentioned in the past that the exchange rate that Carnival can offer is not close to what the banks can offer. How much would you suggest we bring in Euros for the Transatlantic Cruise? I really don't plan on doing too much shopping, etc., so it won't be a lot for me, but inquiring minds want to know.See you in less than three weeks.Jon

Carol -

You are so right – the Yankee/Red Sox rivalry was so different back then.

Going to baseball games these days, it seems like people believe that they have to antagonize anyone who roots for another team.

Personally, I believe in rooting for a good game – if my team loses that game, then so be it.

Bugs – yes, they affected game 2 in Cleveland, but the Yankees couldn’t hit. I have been a bit under the weather for a couple of days and just now trying to catch up. I have been down with something called an "occular migrain" which put me down in bed for nearly 2 days. It was Scarey! But feeling better now. New bear cub Corbin, is doing great. Mum and Dad say he such a content little guy and sleeps through "most" of the night already (his Daddy was like that too). They have decided that Mum will stay home with him and not go back to work at this time. I am happy that she will not have to miss such precious times with him. Hoping to see them again real soon. They live about 3.5 hours away from us, so we don't get to visit as often as I would like.So glad that Heidi had such a nice time with her Mum. Your vacation will be here soon and you will finally get that much needed rest, and get to spend time with your Mum and Dad too. I'm sure they are counting the days as well. Speaking of Mum... I got to introduce my best friend to "Spotted Dick with Custard". Mmmmmm! She loves it too! Tomorrow I am planning on making a leg of lamb and mushy peas. Carl loves lamb and I don't make it real often. My leg is healing well. Just having a lot of muscular pain now that everything is re-attaching. On Friday the 12th (our 4th wedding anniversary) we will be meeting with Oncology. And, hopefully, a nice quiet dinner out afterwards. My prayer continue to go out to Alan and his family. I know with all the support and prayers he is getting from you and Heidi as well as the bloggers, he will be fine. He has a lot of cheerleaders out here cheering him on! I think I speak for everone when I say, we are looking forward to seeing him and his lovely wife on the bloggers cruise. And I know that you being at his side with your humor and support, will be just what he and his family needs to get through the days ahead. To Paul F. Pietrangelo: So glad to hear you got a good report. I will continue to keep you in my prayers. And to Capt. Chuck: Our sympathy to you and your family on the loss of your father. You are in my prayers as well.To Inez: So sad to hear about your mother. I will add you and your family to my prayers. I wish you strength in the days ahead.Well John, now that you have clued me in about "Mouse Land"... I guess I will have to be choosy about when I go. I have been asking Carl to take me there for sometime. My kids have been there, but I have never experienced this place myself. I do think I would like to see Epcot and Universal though. Maybe, someday you can give me some tips on what to avoid!!! Lol ;-)Take Care and Hello to Heidi!!!

Any information on what is scheduled to happen at that time? Here are some cartoons that might cheer Alan up a bit:
