At least you had one left to give to Mr. Brooklyn. He did, however, tell the truth--the ship's crew couldn't understand him. I've lived in the U.S. all my life, and I can't understand anyone from Brooklyn either. New York was a late Tory holdout during the Revolutionary war, and their combination of British, Dutch and German accents still survives. It would be like someone who speaks perfect BBC English suddenly being dropped into the midst of Sheffield. Just know that in our past 7 Carnival cruises, my wife and I have reveled in the multicultural makeup of the crew! Such wonderful people should not have to put up with the likes of Mr. Brooklyn, but they do, and with astounding grace. Just remember - for every 1 of Mr. Brooklyn, there are 3000 Montgomerys. Let me know if you liked the Jelly Belly brand of sugar free jelly beans--if so I will send you some more so you can share with your dad. Have you done any more of the "walk for the cure" laps around the Promenade deck? If so, how did they do? Well, again you had me showing almost every emotion I have while reading this latest blog! I swear my bladder sits below my eyes and tends to leak alot--I swear I get more emotional the older I get! Glad to hear that Alan is doing better--I'm beginning to think that he is probably really handsom and that you might be just a little jealous of his looks as you are always making fun of him. Well, time will tell. The bloggers cruise is not that far off and then we will all be able to know about his true looks. I will never forget the cartoon drawing of him that you posted quite some time ago. Whoever drew that needs a few art lessons. Well, you and Heidi are probably starting to pack for your vacation--you're in the home stretch now with your final cruise underway starting in just a few more hours. My best to you both!
