Good to see the old sea dog is still afloat. So glad I found your blog – brings back memories of being part of the crew on board the funships for all those years.

Nice to read your experience at the circus… I was just thinking why not have one on the ship? won’t it fun to watch while traveling in high seas ? well I don’t want to be a ring master!!!! but would definitely want to try out a career on carnival… (is HR u listening!)

As the blogger’s cruise gets closer, I get more sad that I will not be joining a group of people who I have grown to know over the last several months. I visit some of the blogs and have laughed, cried and prayed for many of you. Have a wonderful time on the cruise. Hopefully, next year I will be able to join everyone on the cruise. ( John, hint, hint) Give us some details!!!!

I can’t wait to get a full report on all the antics of Big Ed’s ‘evil crew’. Everyone come back and give us tons of details on all that happened! I will be waiting!

Glad you had a great time at the zoo, even if it did burst a childhood dream. That is fine, trust me you have a better job than ringmaster.

Good Day All!
Just wondering if anyone else from York, PA was joining the blogger’s cruise? Can’t wait! Only 5 days till we sail!!!!! Also John, is there any talk of Carnival starting to sail from Baltimore Port again? That is where we first sailed from and loved it. Thanks and see you soon.

As Columbo would say “Just one more thing”. I just sent Roberto a slideshow and video from last night’s fireworks display in NY Harbor. Hopefully he can post it.

And Linda H – me too – every year to Madison Square Garden to watch the circus – and even when I started working on 34th St. I would meet a friend and go a second time. I wish I were a kid again!

Hi John,

I love the blog. I’m sure you have heard that many times, when it is good stuff, I like to be redundant.:)

I’m a flatlander from the middle of Saskatchewan. Cruise ships and getting to them, can be an interesting adventure.

Carnival has been around forever. I am going to spend a month in Jamaica (on purpose, not in a touristy area:)) and had a question.

What does a cruise line look for to peak their guests interest when they are off ship? What makes a cruise director’s job easier?

One day I hope to take a cruise but at the moment it isn’t feasible. Sounds like they are floating hotels:)

They do have a great menu there. Now you just made it harder for me to get a table.

Hi John. Prime 112 is definitely good. But you may also want to try Barton G’s before you leave. It is quite an experience. (I mean that in a good way!)
