Good Day John! This is my first post and I wanted to pass on my appreciation of your daily blogs regarding your involvement and adventures with Carnival Cruise lines and its affiliates. I have enjoyed reading you blog since my family and I came back from our trip to Europe. We were fortunate enough to cruise on the Carnival Freedom this past October when it was in docked in Civitavecchia (don’t know if I’ll ever get the correct pronunciation of that port). We honestly had no idea before we left what to expect on a European cruise, but were familiar with other Carnival cruise and thought it would be a good way to see parts of Italy, Spain, Croatia, etc… They trip was amazing! The Carnival Freedom staff was terrific; Claudio and Israel our dinning room stewards and Alvin our cabin steward with his team treated us exceedingly well. So much so, we have booked our 3rd Carnival cruise for February 24 aboard the Carnival Valor and my one regret is that we will not have the same crew. I was kind of hoping for another “Dick Little” production (I still laugh at the poor guys name).

Anyway, thank you to you and all the Carnival staff that made our trip to Europe exceed our expectations. We are looking forward to our future trips aboard Carnival Cruise lines.

John,
It’s been a while but I have not forgotten
your blog or our wonderful trip on the Freedom with you last summer. It just happens that I signed on in time to wish you a belated happy birthday. I hope it was a warm, wonderful day. At least you can count your blessing that you’re not in MN now as the temperture is -6F (and that doesn’t count the windchill which has been about -15F all day). To say the least our canoe is out of commission for a couple more months. Again, Happy Birthday.
