GO JOHN! You may not know, most people don't, but there are several different kinds of service animals. Even a monkey or a miniature horse, but right now all you have to deal with are the dogs. First >the pottie boxes should be spaced out and have a different box for each dog. They should be in an are that is easy for the team to get to . And I know the dogs wouldn't be happy if I didn't ask for just a little extra room.. A lot of dogs don't like the First Step litter (my dog uses it every day). Would it be too hard to carry 2 kinds? Also these boxes tend to collect cigarette buts could you post a sign that said something like doggid butts only please.
As I am not sight impaired I don't know what they go through but I do have experience with a dog on a ship. The dogs should be totally ignored unless the human team person initiates like. Is my dog in your way? She is asking you to mention her dog. Never approach or pet a service dog until the release command has been given. The dog may misread your intentions. Some growel, and some may bite. Valentine would probably lick you to death and hunt in you pockets for her favorite candy, tic-tacs, the orange ones, she loves them!Always remember that dogs like people come in all sizes and have different games. Some are the size of a great dane and then there is Valentine and she weighs 10 pounds. One thing that we always have problems with but not sure how others feel. They seem to think Valentine is a pet and really give us a hard time. I don't know if it would help to make an announcement or not but I would really be ready to try. Just let people that yes, she is a dog, but has right to be there. People can be rude.
It might be nice to have a general announcement made a couple of times the first day that there are service dogs onboard. If you see someone with a lost face ask if they need help and go from there.I'm sure that you will do fine. If Carnival is behind it, it will be great for the dogs and people team. If possible some water bowls for them to share out on deck where it is hot.Feel free to ask ,
Your friend,
Barbara Butler

I really liked the picture of the Glory and Sensation in port together. I was hoping that maybe you'd put a pic of the Queens together in New York recently.
Hope you have a nice meeting this week on the Victory. I look forward to hearing the exciting information coming out of there.
Thank you for a great blog today!

What wonderful way to spend our precious vacation time and dollars! Just two suggestions to pass along: A. Eliminate the formal nights (or at least only have 1 on an 8 night cruise) B. keep the burger station open in the evening or add them to the room service menu. Thanks for passing along both these suggestions and our thanks for providing us with such wonderful vacations. Thanks

John

We were on the Miracle in January and had a great time. I have a great picture of the three of us--I'm in Florida with my uncle, will be back in NY Wednesday night--at some point will get it to you. I STILL have your gift, never managed to meet up with you again, but I know you were very busy. Not sure why I bothered to take pictures since yours on the blog are great! We had a wonderful time on our first Carnival cruise--the food was GREAT!!!!!!

Hi John–great to meet you and Heidi on the Imagination, and so nice of you to send the bubbly to my table. It's great to be able to use the computer again.Glad you had a good time on your cruise and were able to get a little relaxation in before you have to really go back to work.A note on formal nights. We really look forward to the formal nights because there is nowhere else where we can get dressed up like that. We were disappointed that there were only two on the 12 night Med. cruise but we knew that going in. One of the main reasons we get a table for two is that we don't have to wonder what our tablemates would be wearing. If it really comes down to a choice maybe one dining room could be formal and the other for shorts or whatever. The hard part would be to guarantee that people get the dining room they want. We'd like to start planning our 2009 cruise and want to know where the Dream is going and when is the inaugural. Speaking of inaugurals, what are the plans for the Splendor and will we (the passengers) be invited and will it be in Dover?Have a great CD meeting this week.Linda and George

Hi John and Heidi,

Well we finally moved to a new park where we have Wi-Fi. Another question for you since I cannot get anyone to answer it. On the Read My Valentine promotion, they are giving away the "Owners Suite" on the Inspiration or Imagination as the prize. The problem is the Owner's Suite on the Imagination and Inspiration no longer exist as Camp Carnival is now in the place of these two cabins. This change was made in their last drydock. These were the two large cabins most people did not realize was there on the Verandah deck just south of the Atrium.Dave (jetskier)

John,<br

Do not implement freestyle dining (or keep the early/late seating main dining room); and
Keep 2 formal nights on 7 night sailings.Take care.
