I heard the Celebration is going to be retired. could you please tell me when ? Would love to do another cruise on it. Took first cruise in 2005 and getting ready to take 7th over Easter. Loved you on the Liberty in 2006.

John,
What a great interview! I especially LOVED the one shot of the Splendor. I called my husband and told him that a picture of it was posted on the blog. I sat at my desk looking at the picture and visualized where Jim would sit each day as we pull out of port. One of his favorite things to do is sit at the back of the ship with a cup of coffee as the ship pulls out of port. He looks at each port as it fades in the distance and recounts all the wonderful memories from that day.
John, we will never be able to thank you enough for keeping us connected to Carnival through your "blog thingy".
Hope you are feeling better. Those colds can be real bears!

BIG ED AND MYRA B,

Now now, I wasn't being mean to John (maybe I can join the Evil Crew now), just trying to give him some helpful hints on dealing with his cold and keep Heidi well. I'm sure he knows it's all in fun. I never thought about the timing of the results of the happy stick. I hope we all don't have to reachedule our cruise.

Can't wait to meet you two!

Hi John. I just returned home from a wonderful cruise aboard the Carnival Freedom. I enjoyed every bit of it. You are an amazingly funny man and I wish I would have seen you around more. I know there are to many people for you to remember everyone but you may remember my husband. He let you know your barn door was open during one of your shows... :) We both hope to sail with carnival again soon. Keep up the good work.

Can we build it? Yes we can! The immortal (perhaps the wrong term here) words of Bob the Builder.

For those who aren’t familiar……

http://www.bobthebuilder.com/uk/bob_the_builder_brand_message.html

But just because we can do a thing doesn’t necessarily mean we should do it….the whole can do vs. should do conundrum. I am very glad Carnival is showing a level of restraint with the development of their new vessels (kudos to the Spirit & Conquest Classes) as opposed to some unmentionable cruise line. When ships become floating continents I think the proverbial envelop may have been pushed too far.

Next time there is a lunar event, some passengers may get confused…

That's no moon…… It's the Death-Star of the Seas

Jonah: I think the Splendor originally was designed and going to be a Costa ship.

Hey John,

Well, I almost have Heidi-Beth talked into switching from the Inspiration to the Fantasy. All we need to do in convince her to go to New Orleans instead of Tampa. It's really not that long a drive from here, about nine hours. She really wants to go. And the Fantasy was still our first cruise ship out of Port Canaveral. She is wearing down. I will probably call Mike Alvira tomorrow and see what the whole deal is. The price is almost the same. Anything that you could do to push her in the right direction would be appreciated.

Till next time.]

Hi John, Hope you are feeling better. You were the best part of the cruise. My wife and I spoke with Heidi at one of the shows and asked her to say hi and wish you well. I wrote a letter early in the week to let you know what a great wife I have. I hope you got it because I did not here you mention it all week. I finally told her about it on our way home yesterday. Hope to here from you soon. take care. Ken Cooper, MA
