This is the family we met on the Carnival Freedom August 5, 2007 sailing from Civi. Here's all the detail we have: Mrs. Robertson's name is Helen, and the kids are Emma and Tristan. They live in Ontario, but I think not Toronto, but rather a mid-sized city like Hamilton or similar. We exchanged email addresses on Carnival napkins (the paper ones, not cloth!) on the last day and we simply can't find ours. We did talk during the Mediterranean cruise about doing the Northern Europe itinerary together, so we are still hopeful they will be able to sign up for the 1 August 2009 sailing. Thanks again John! I've written several times but to no avail. Are you hiding or is it your subtle way of telling me to bugger off? Nonetheless,,,,,,,,I'll keep trying to get your attention. Kathleen and I have booked another wild and crazy cruise on Carnival Fantasy next February out of New Orleans. We can't wait. This last cruise on the Freedom was an absolute blast. We got to laughing soooo hard that we found people laughing at us. Like the times we were in the glass elevator dancing to an audience in the main lobby like go-go girls in cages back in the 60's. Or like the time we were laughing soooo hard that Kathleen had to sit on the stairs or she would have lost her dessert. Or maybe the time on our way back to our cabin I was laughing sooo hard I had to hang onto the wall and cross my legs for fear of relieving myself right then and there. Kathleen didn't mind tho,,,,,she told passersby that I was incontinent and couldn't move. Charming! But,,,,,what do we care,,,,,chances of ever seeing those people again are very remote. Or at least I hope so! Hope your getting better and better as each new day greets you. Looking forward to adding to our "bucket list" this next cruise. Maybe we can get a group picture this time? Apparently we got off the ship before all the problems started....but we had our own problems getting home to Fredericton (NB Canada). First our flight from Miami was delayed and then we had to circle the airport in Toronto for another hour. By the way, the "drunk Canadian" was on the plane with us and we chatted with him and his wife. When we got to Toronto, most flights were cancelled because of the weather so there we were stuck and couldn't rebook until Wednesday. So Becky and I took a bus ride home...22 hours. But we have much to be grateful for and that is that we were able to have such an amazing vacation. I have heard of others who have missed their cruise this week due to weather conditions. That's really sad!! Anyways, hope your Bells Palsy is getting better. Bravo to you for keeping us entertained despite it all!!! My husband and I debarked on the 8th and had a wonderful honeymoon trip. I sincerely hope that Mr. Bell finishes with you soon and thanks again for your perseverence. It is a trip Neil and I will never forget. We have never laughed so hard. Eddie Capone was hilarious and then to ice the cake with that ' venomous' villian and the heroic Japanese man with the slightly incorrect diction for 'shoot" and the now immortal Mary! I'm quite sure I will remember that week for the rest of my life! Despite the delays we encountered on embarkation and debarkation, all else was nothing short of exceptional. Bravo! to you all.
