I like getting the inside "dirt" you provide, although I realize you may not be willing to be totally truthful in any negative comments you may have against your employer.I've had the pleasure of sailing on 3 Carnival cruises (Miracle, Legend and Valor) Each one was excellent, though I have to say I really like the Spirit class the best. I have not been lucky enough to have you as my CD yet but hope that may happen soon. We have been thinking of trying Princess out of Brooklyn as we live on Long Island and love to avoid the airfare and all of the stress of flying whenever possible.Keep up the funny insights-and I especially enjoy the jabs at some of the ridiculous things people do and say.

I just stumbled upon your blog thru a pal on Cruise-Addicts.com and I must say that it is very enjoyable. Thanks again for your most interesting blog. As we are already booked for a Emerald cruise can you please tell me what the cruise is like for a diabetic, food wise. I notice from your earlier blog that there are sugar free items, are these few and far between?Best wishes

John<br

You said "Bethel Woods which is the original 1969 site of Woodstock. Yes, I live only 20 minutes away. Well our summer place is right on the site of the Goose Lake Rock Festival in 1970 in Jackson Michigan with Bob Seger, Chicago, Alice Cooper and many more. The orignal light and sound towers are still there.BIG ED

Sue frm Narrowsburg, NY,

I just got to one uo you sorry. Think it's great! But they do enforce the limited dress restrictions.Carnival didn't do any "dress code enforcement" before, and if that habit continues with the further relaxing of dress codes, we could easily be dining with people with people in shorts, tank tops, and ball caps. And if that works for people.....
next year's dress restriction might just read:Genitalia must be covered while in the dining room.So.. John... please suggest they enforce at least a minimum of decorum in the dining rooms.Noticed they are also returning to just the 2 dining times - 6 PM and 8:15 in all dining rooms, instead of the 4. Which I think is fine too.Regards,

Could you please explain a little more about the arrangement dealing with the St. Thomas set up. Next year my wife and have set up a cruise on the Valor that first goes to Nassau and than goes to St. Thomas. Do the immigration people come aboard the ship or do we get off the ship? How early do we get up and where do we go? I'm glad that I read it in your blog. It doesn't seem to be a real problem but I would like to know more about it.PLEASE REPLY THROUGH MY EMAILretirementman2004@yahoo.comI hope that you and Heidi are resting and it appears that you are enjoying the food on the Emerald.
