Ok so I would love to take this cruise but first I need to take the Bloggers Cruise and another cruise on some stupid ship with a rock wall on it. Sorry Roberto if your reading this. But once on the bloggers cruise I will steal BIG ED's credit card to book the baltic cruise with you. Unless I can get the really really really cheap no frills hammock in the engine room next to Igor who makes me shovel coal every night before bed. Can you help with that ? Probably not ok Well I am happy to hear Heidi is there with you again and i'm sure you needed clean underwear by the time she arrived. I too share your passion for steam trains I have ever since I was a child, don't ask why but I love them probably has to do with me taking apart every toy I ever had just to see what was in there that made it do what ever it did. Please don't let your children take apart sealed batteries, bad bad things happen when that oily goop comes out. Anyway looking forward to tomorrows update. How is the magic stick doing ? I was talking with a friend of mine yesterday and he said that for most women to get pregnant the solution is they need to make a major life change usually quitting work for the first child does it. Something about mentally the body won't allow the egg to well you know how that all works. So it's a suggestion maybe heidi needs to get off ships. Not that I want to see her go I want to see her on the BC of course. But if she had a little gas factory in a buggie that would be nice also. Anyway enjoy the rest of your time traveling.Kevin

John und Heidi,<br

Amazing. Is there a Trabant's Owners Club there??Also amazing is view the old GDR through your eyes. I didn't ever travel on a German Steam train, but this sounds like a lovely excursion!!! I've taken other German trains... yes, many times, but the charm and the beauty of the steam train is something to treasure. And horses... A horse and carriage... just so I don't have to muck the stalls or clean up the 'leftovers,' I'm in heaven!! That's what stable hands and children are for... :-)And the Trabant... the people's car!Go to Berlin by cruise ship... and travel the country by everything else!!! How delightful...Sounds like you're enjoying yourself!! Keep it coming.

That's the white asparagus that Germans go crazy for every year. It might be a little early for it right now, but if it is in season, you'll know because every restaurant will have a special "spargel" menu. I recommend the spargel creme suppe instead of the 1/2 kilo of spargel (with or without ham).Carrie (formerly) from Heidelberg and missing spargel season

John — Has spargel season started yet?
