Dear John and Heidi,
I am so glad that your holiday has been so relaxing and interesting. We love to hear what each day brings for you and do so enjoy your brilliant humour and compassion. Our Doctor here in Whangarei, New Zealand came from Burma with her doctor husband many years ago and now they are both New Zealand citizens. So naturally they wanted to go back to Myanmar to help both family and anyone else and, with the help and support of other local doctors left here last Monday with medical supplies and at last report are still waiting in Singapore to get visas to get into their birthplace. It is such a tragedy, isn't it?

For my money, no show will ever touch Mystery Science Theater 3000's brilliance.

See you on the 7/13 Splendor Cruise!

John,

I feel more relaxed just reading about your vacation. I know you and Heidi will "hit the door running" in a couple of weeks, so I'm very glad you had this opportunity to watch a DVD and for Heidi to have her glorious moments in the sun.

I haven't had the pleasure of sailing with you, yet, but each day when I read your blog, it is like a letter from a dear friend, letting me know what is going on in his life. No, they are never boring!

John,
I am amazed at the fact that it is only 65 days until the Splendor! Wow!!! A large (for our area) plane flew over our building today. At the time, I was quite stressed. I looked at it and thought....."Please, just take me away. I don't care where!"
The situation in Myomar is very tragic. The governement is not allowing aid. So sad....you see the pictures of the people and there was a baby's picture on the front of our local paper today.
Hopefully, some assistance will get in soon!
