Hi John

I just wanted to tell you that we drag out a video from a cruise on the Imagination from 1995 this eve to show to some friends…….after all these years, it is still bellylaughing funny.

It was your Bedtime Story skit during the talent show……….There was a black lady named Mary, who knocked you down, a white gentleman who played the villian and kept saying to Mary, “Give it to me baby” and Tim, a Japanese gentleman who kept saying, “sh.t” instead of shoot.

Thank you all these years later for the laughs….we still cruise Carnival and hope to see you on a future cruise.

Good afternoon John & Heidi,

I can relate to some bloggers from New York. Growing up, I lived in the Bronx, and all the school trips we went to were all within the city. We would be lucky if we got to go to an amusement park for a school trip. Although, I remember one class trip was to go bowling. Nowadays, I bet the school system is so strict that they would only allow educational trips and not trips for fun and games…

Too funny on the whole gas station scenario. I told a couple of people about this and they too found it hilarious! It is indeed ridiculous and I truly feel bad for all the truckers that have to pay $5 a gallon for diesel fuel……… Hope you guys are doing well. Have a great weekend!!

HI John, Heidi, and all.
Wow, this is my 3rd attempt at this reply tonight. The nuns and Shelly Winters, very amusing John..Reminds me of a story that I hope you all find a little bit amusing. My family and I were on Triumph in Nov., 2004, and one morning we go for breakfast in the indoor dining area on Lido deck, I guess. So I say, ” I think if we hear Celine Dion sing that song from Titanic, ‘My Heart Will Go On,’that ‘s a sign that we should GET OFF THIS SHIP VERY QUICKLY.” So literally, just a few minutes later, as we are enjoyng our breakfast, we hear that haunting melody, and Celine sing “Every night in my dreams, I see you, I feel you…That is how I know you go on…” The four of us start (a little nervously) laughing, and either Ted or me said “OK, lets go HOME…NOW!!!!!!!”OMGit was too much! (Later on, I thought maybe, one of the staff had heard me say that and had played a little joke Too funny!
Enjoy Italy and remember this…”There’s Got to be a Morning After…”

Sorry, John, but you can’t be “Grumpy.” Scott chose that moniker for himself when our first grandchild was born and “Grumpy” he has been for over 22 years. You could be “Grumpy 2″ or “Grumpy, too.” But only ’til you get back onboard ship. Then you must once again become “Mr. Eternally Bright and Sunny Regardless of How Much Junk Comes Your Way.”

I, too, have Italian ancestors (my Mom’s grandparents immigrated to the states from Milan). Also, some French on my Dad’s side of the family (sorry to let you know an approximately 1/16th French person is reading your blog, but there you are). All of which means I find Europe very interesting and beautiful. But, having tried life there for three years, I still prefer living in the USA and am glad to have been born here. (We do have a stepgranddaughter who is a model in Milan and is married to an Italian “rock star.”)

Enough…hope your fortune turns soon and you enjoy the rest of your journey to the Splendor. Give my regards to Heidi.
