John, it breaks my heart to hear you say you can’t have this and you can’t have that. YES, YOU CAN!!! You just have to have less of it, i.e. cookies.
Please go to http://www.weightwatchers.com and click on Weight Watchers Online. Sign up on line to follow the program and I promise you, you will be amazed at the amount of food you can eat and still lose weight. It has been my experience through the years that men lose the weight a lot faster than women, and they lose more in a shorter amount of time. I have lost over 10 lbs. since mid-January and I should have lost double that by now but I’m older and it’s coming off slower.
Please, please check out their website and I hope you are pleasantly surprised.
How lovely to see Mr Puttock in all his Splendorous self! I haven’t seen him since he joined the company on the Holiday 100 years ago…excellent to see he is doing so well with the company!!
‘Sssup Big John,
Workin’ hard or hardly workin’…. mehmehmeh. Good to see and hear you, every time I hear that voice I expect to hear about a sail and sangria party or a $500 Blackjack tourney in the casino. You should turn the blog into JohnHealdTV, number one cruise director’s blog television station in the world. Do you have any idea what time your show (on USA) will air on the 21st?

Heard your voice for the first time, even though only in bits and pieces (’cause I’m too cheap to upgrade), but it was still great to hear it, finally. I’m guessing that was Heidi laughing in the background? Someone tell Big Ed that he’s not helping anyone by putting pictures of meat, smothered with cheese in his emails. He ’s been pretty quiet about the whole eating better, diet thingy, except to try to sabotage everyone!!!!!!!!!!! He’s probably at Wendy’s right now!
Buona notte, tutti amici,
Sue
John, looks like you’re all having fun with it, at the very least. Just realised that it’s only 84 days until we board for our European back-to-back; we’re onboard for the last Baltic cruise and the run from Dover to Rome. Looking forward to crossing the brow very very much, so we’ll see you then. Good luck with your diet – stick with it, between November last year and March this year I lost 26 kilos (that’s 60-something pounds!) and feel magnificent for it.
First time Blogger here. I am enjoying the updates on the Beautiful Splendor!! I’m looking forward to Sailing on here on Dec 13th from Ft Lauderdale.
Just wanted to follow up with Cindy56 and her comment about Weight Watchers. It is an amazing program. I started 3 years ago. I went on it for 12 weeks and lost almost 30 lbs. I have put a bit back on due to the Cruises I have been on, but I’m no where near what I was. And yes!! you can eat what you want but just portion control, instead of eating a whole arrow chocolate bar split it with Heidi and you still get your chocolate. Please do check out the web site Cindy56 put in her response.
Untill next time keep smiling and I hope to meet you on Dec 13th.
Thanks for the video update. Keep them coming! I have caught up with the past few blogs and have enjoyed the Joe Farcus interview. He is a wonderful designer and I can’t wait to see what he does with the Carnival Dream next year! Looking at the pictures he has done a great job in the ship design and I hope to see the Splendor in the near future! Can’t wait to see the final output of this splendid ship.
Best of luck with your diet. I wish you all the best in everything. Have a great weekend!
Hi John/Heidi:

Take care and stay dry!
Thanks,

ttenj – You may need to try a different computer. I couldn’t view the video at work. The screen would never finish loading. I had to wait until I got home.
John – Love the video blogs! Like Cindy56 and James, I’m a believer in the Weight Watchers plan, but I realize you’re also dealing with diet restrictions because of diabetes. It’s best to listen to your doctor and follow that advice. We’re all pulling for you!
