Well that video brought tears to my eyes, and so many memories of special crew flooding back....it is always the crew that brings the sparkle to the gem!
Thank you John for bringing us Peter, and thank you Peter for sharing the details of the vital work it takes to bring us an amazing experience at sea, and your dedication to what you do. And I love ColdPlay!!
I will remember, when I finally get to cross the Atlantic for the first time, which direction I need to head!!
Hugs all around!

My first time ever on a cruise ship was on the Queen Mary, yes #1. No, I am not that old, but close. It was for my high school prom. What an elegant and grand way to do a prom, and it did give me the cruise bug way back then. I have not yet had the honor of setting foot back on a Cunard ship, but after reading you blog today, it is now a goal. I would love to sail the British Isle's and yes sail into New York. Thank you John and Peter for giving me one more dream.

And speaking of Dream, more more more info please, a bunch of single parents are very impatiently waiting!! :)

John - Thanks for the video. But I think you could make the same video on Carnival, Princess, and HAL. The people we have come in contact with on all of those cruise lines are very pleasant to deal with and seem to really enjoy their job and work hard to make sure the customers have a great experience.

John, thanks for the interview with Peter. What an interesting job he has.

You are so right about the crew. I sit here and think about all the staff and crew that I meet on my cruises, and then I think of the number I never see. They all work together to make sure I have an incredible cruise. It is easy express my appreciation to those I come in contact with, but to those I never see, thank you!

John,

Thanks for posting the video it was great to see a few faces i have sailed with in the past like Alistair Greener and Amanda Reid, the video sure shows a fantastic sense of pride, i have sailed on QE2 and QM2 so i really need to go on the QV some day, but not before i sail on the Carnival Splendor (59 days and counting).

Dear John I loved reading about Cunard and the rich tradition of the line. Like Peter says any ship starts out as a metal box. It is then covered with the things that make it a beautiful work of art ,but even then it is the life blood of the ship the crew. That handles the complex or the mundane duties on the day to day jobs on the ship. This is what makes the cruise and enjoyable trip with memories to keep forever. Bless the crews who give so much to make our memories so cherished. We thank you John for giving us the opportunity to see the other side of cruising. Continue the good work. Best wishes John and Heidi from Gary and Bug
