Thank you John.
this was a great tribute to a man who is doing is his job. Whether or not we agree with being in Iraq- we need to support the people who are sent there.
Deby ( navy nurse, navy wife and airforce brat!)
God Bless you John, what a wonderful thing you did there. You have not lost your touch, as I have said before and will say again, you my dear man are the GREATEST CD in the world! Bravo! Linda
John, beautifully done and great to see all the guests stand and applaud. Thanks for all the video clips, lets us feel like we’re there with you.
Cheers, Ray & Deb
John, what a lovely lovely start to my day, thank you, and thank you Heidi!!! And thank you Stephanie (do you EVER rest??)
The video blogs are simply fabulous!!!
Love you all!
Eva
I have to say, that brought a little “mist” to my eyes. All I can do is agree with Deby. While I don’t agree with the war, the men and women risking their lives everyday have 150% of my support.
Brava!
Dawn (who one week from today will be on the Splendor!)
Dear john A tribute that a little one will never forget. Bless you John for making special memories. It just shows one bad apple can not ruin the pie. Best wishes Gary and Bug
John, we are glad to have your guest stories and in their own words back. From the video clips you haven’t lost anything from your time off. When someone is as good as you are they don’t have problems with gaps in performances.
On a different topic, can you tell us who the CD will be for the Freedoms Nov TA? I know Todd is on there now and wondered if it would still be him or another CD.
Great Job! I echo your bloggers whether we agree or not with the war, we still support the brave men and women who are in the front line. As a retired military person myselfwe will continue to support our troops until they all come home. Thank you for what you do and did. A salute to Lt Col Reed. (Hope I got his name right).
John, you are just great. They both will remember this day forever. Just as we must remember the reason he is in Iraq. We must never forget 911 and the fact that it is has not happened on our soil again. Thank you to all the troops and to President Bush for keeping us safe.
John,
What a wonderful showing of gratitude! I am sure you made this little girls day. And the standing ovation from the crowd showing how much they appreciate what our women and men in the Armed Forces are doing.
With having two nephews deployed right now (one in Afghanistan and the other in Iraq) this really hits home and mean alot!
John,
I decided to use my daughter’s laptop to check the latest blog. It was very well done. I am sure everyone appreciated it.
In 7 days we will be boarding the Splendor. We fly out on Wednesday. It will be great to actually get to greet you in person.
See you soon!
Ruth
John,
That was priceless! I am sure you made that girl very happy and even more proud of her dad! Brought a tear to my eye, and I am sure to many others. I was so proud, not only of him, but of all the folks in the audience who gave him a standing ovation, which he truely had coming to him. And, again, thanks to you for supporting all of our servicemen who give so much so that all of us are allowed the freedom we enjoy!
Sheryl
How wonderful to see that video–thank you! What a great way for him to spend his two weeks leave with his wife and daughter. Unlike the woman you had to deal with after the show on the 4th, as shown by those standing in this video, most of us are proud to be Americans and do appreciate the sacrifices the military makes on our behalf!
Hi John/Heidi:
Well done.
Excellent video and thanking you for helping to spread the word of how appreciative we are of their efforts.
thanks again,
David
John, not only will your actions be treasured by the Reed family, but other servicemen/women who see the video (and the great audience reaction) also will be uplifted in spirit.
John,
I’m a little behind on your blogs, but I’m catching up now. This video made me cry like a big baby…only because it reminded me what I went through when Mr. Cheap was on his two heartship tours, and then Desert Storm. My children were young, and so I know how much that medal will mean to the little girl in the days to come. God bless you for doing this for her and her father!
Princess Susan
John, I’ve been out of town, just got home to see this great video. Bravo, to you – for making this happen for the family, for Mary – because she’s proud of her Dad, and to the Lt. Col. – for doing a great job.
Well done John!!
Thank you John.

I will bet that he had no problem with the playing of The Star Spangled Banner.
Congratulations on a great gesture.
