How appropriate, since the Smithsonian was founded by James Smithson, a French citizen who emigrated to England when he was 10.Sir Richard Branson offered to buy it and restore it to service but British Airways has refused to sell. They enjoyed the aircraft very much and it also saved his life. They should still have it available for emergencies.
