My Nana and Pop Pop were my best friends...so terribly hard to lose them. But, I'm sure Granddad was looking down on you during your little excursion feeling very proud and happy for you. What amazing photos you took. We are anxious to do the Alaska cruise, AND we can't wait to do Hawaii again...it was our all time favorite vacation.Take care and come back to share with us again soon.Lisa

Bubba,

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you on the loss of your grandparents. First, condolences to Bubba but I am so jealous of the amazing experience that he got to have. I agree that unless you ask, you don't know what wonderful opportunities are available.
I liked your anecdote about Mrs. S.nob enjoying her balcony dinner while staring at the canisters. Too funny!
Thanks for another great blog and post more!
Take care,
David

Hi John/Heidi:<br

Can you tell me who is going to be the CD on Carnvials Freedom the December 14th sailing? We hope he/she is at least as good as you are. Can't get any better than you are.

On the last cruise my family attended the Ballet on the first night in St. Petersburg and then did an all day tour the second day. I spent some time that first day on my balcony looking at the cargo ship being unloaded and the rusty containers. Then took the kids up and went swimming. I hope she enjoyed her dinner with a view.

His sly little double entendres and little smirk were great. I always thought Sean Connery's Bond was a little too fake & chauvinistic, but I realize that was the time we were living in. Pierce Brosnan's comments were similar to Roger Moore's, but I thought Timothy Dalton was the best-looking Bond, even though those movies were not that great. My favorite movie - "Live & Let Die" - loved the alligators & New Orleans funerals.Back to the Olympics - London will do it better. No anxiety about where you can & cannot go, no fake fireworks, no stone-face & scary policemen, no broadcasting controls, no pressure on the British athletes that if they don't win, they will disappoint the people. Of course I was disappointed that NYC did not get 2012, but it should be London (and not Paris or Moscow). Maybe 4 years from now John, you'll be watching some of the water events in person.Bye,

To be away from family, at a time like this, is so difficult. You're in my thughts.John, thanks go to you, too, for making Susan's cruise a special one. If something were to happen to my husband (or the person I was curising with), I hope I would have the courage to continue on.Did you notice that in today's blog, Bubba commented that you "don't get unless you ask!" Well, isn't that what Mrs.S Nob did? :) The big difference is that Mrs. S Nob didn't ask anyone. She simply stated that dinner on the balcony was what she wanted. If that is what she wanted, surely she was entitled to it! Bubba was hesitant to ask, because he knew that other people would have to do the extra work for his request, and he would never intentionally put extra work on anyone. Attitude is everything!John, thank you, again for your wonderful daily blogs.
