I guess you cannot please all the people all of the time or even some of the people some of the time; so just keep on doing what you do best andwe will love it. We are sailing on the Splendor on Oct 29,2008 and can't wait: 16 whole days at sea. We sailed on the Freedom on May 13,2007 and during lifeboat drill the first day on ship some lady dropped her lifeboat jacket on the stairs in front of me and I tripped on it and injured my ankle and leg, and sorry to say she just walked over me and continued her way downstairs. I can't say enough about the nurses down stairs in sickbay they were so good to me and Thank God for all the friends that were traveling with us that helped us get around.
we will be celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary in April so this is our celebration cruise for that event. We have enjoyed so many good times with Carnival over the years, also Holland American and The Queen Mary II . Keep them smiling John, we love it. On the last night of the BC, I didn't want it to end, so after I closed Ron Pass' piano bar I went up on deck. The sea was phosphorescent, and there were two other cruise ships heading back to Miami with us, one on each side. So it was like we had an honor guard escorting us back home. My wife and I absolutely LOVE just strolling the open deck before bed and usually have it all to ourselves. We feel like the only people on the ship! Now you are going and telling the secret everyone will be doing it! LOL!
I must give you credit for trying to make everyone happy, even the Mrs Nobs of the world! My job requires a lot of hand-holding and ruffled feather soothing as well and I have learned that sometimes, no matter what you do, some people just want to be unhappy! They want something to complain about and every issue, no matter how trivial requires escalation to the highest possible authority! I deal with those types every day, but at the end of the day, I leave them behind to seek my own peace. Tomorrow is soon enough to deal with them again!
I was just catching up on the blogs as I've been too busy to read them for awhile and I was happy to see Bubba is still on the Spirit. Bubba if you read this condolences on your losses. We are booked for Alaska in May and Bubba's pics and descriptions really make me excited for May to roll around!
Hang in there John and don't let the naysayers get to ya!

My wife and I always make it a point to walk the decks in the evening outside. Its one of our favorite activities and we look forward to it.
Excellent blog today. I really enjoyed the pictures and the rock church is absolutely amazing.
I remember taking part in the pillow fight/beer drinking contest. Its hard to imagine how "popular" these activities were just a few years ago but now could never see that again.
Oh well. Times change.
Hope all is well and thanks again.
Take care,
David

Hi John/Heidi:<br
