Please, please don’t do what Kevin wants. I love hearing about problem guests, it really helps me deal with mine.

Maybe we also recognise a bit of ourselves in the problem guests you write about, and try to improve our attitude next cruise.

For me, I have a company policy that states “All of our Customers bring us great pleasure”

It’s quite true. Of course, some guests only bring us the pleasure as we wave goodbye………

Don’t you dare change anything in YOUR blog. Didn’t Kevin read your disclaimer at the beginning of your blog where it states that these are YOUR views and opinions and not Carnival’s.

You keep us glued to your blogs because they are so realistic and fun. Mrs. Nob was the proverbial pain in the u know what but you did your best to accommodate as best you can. You are a very kind hearted individual always wanting everyone to have fun but there are some people who unfortunately one cannot help. They are gloomy, grumpy and not worth the effort by others to bring them into the fold.

Kevin this blog is for the fun people of Carnival, we are not SNOBISH or BORING but we like to have FUN. John keeps us happy and laughing all the time because of who he is and what he does so if you cannot understand that then I suggest you don’t read this blog and don’t get offended about anything and you can live your life in peace.

John thanks again for a wonderful blog and by the way who is the CD on the liberty??? I’m taking my daughter November 15th on a surprise cruise to the Western Carib.

I guess I read your blog for what it is–entertainment. I am kind of surprised at the number of people who become ‘offended’ by your story lines when they are intended to be entertainment. I hope you will keep doing what you do. I don’t see Carnival’s business going downhill anytime soon so the naysayers appear to be in the minority. Keep up the good work!

Everyone who reads your blog enjoys the real “John” so please do not change anything that you do. When a person is rude and demanding (and yes those are nice words for Mrs. S Nob), they have deep issues within themself that they need to resolve instead of taking them out on the ones that are around them. This behavior is noticed and we all vent about it when it happens to us. There will always be people like that and only they can change their attitude. Her demand for attention shows that she is a verly lonely person but you went above and beyond the call of duty.

I am sure that Carnival has got numerous new bookings simply because people have discovered your blog and really enjoyed it.

John, thank you for the clarification on Chris Jefferson’s schedule. I am very sad that he won’t be my CD but gives me an opportunity to look at a future cruise that he may be the CD on. I guess I can forgive you! I know Chris has met so many people, I really doubt at this point he would even remember me and I am ok with that but I will give you a little background on how I met him and maybe you can pass it to him.

My Mother and I cruised on the Victory out of Charleston in Oct 2001. Corey Schmidt was the CD and Chris was a social host. I would run into him all over the ship and we just talked. They had a Halloween party and I remember him dressing up as some Star Wars character with a red & black face. He looked great. I was dressed as little red riding hood. Chris was the host during the Cruise Bingo and after becoming friends with him, I was thrilled when I actually won the game and received a free cruise from the game he called. I have pics somewhere but have not located my album yet. I actually kept in touch for about a year with him via email but I know he has had so many past guest He has had a special place in my heart because of game of bingo I won, I was able to take my husband on a cruise after he had been laid off from a job of over 8 years every unexpectedly and enjoy 5 nights on the Imagination.

I have a feeling that you are training Chris for our new CD of the Dream but I would never post it to the public.

Scott and I will be celebrating our 20th anniversary on September 10th. We took our very first Carnival cruise for our 10th anniversary and try and make a cruise every year when we can.

I know Ryan will be a wonderful CD and I will make it a point to try and meet him also. I am sure he will make our cruise wonderful but if you need a break from the Splendor, you are welcome to give him a vacation and come join us on the Valor.
