While I am American not all of your guests are why assume they would even be interested. Go to your stateroom to watch the convention if you are that interested. Or, the DNC and RNC are once very four years so schedule your cruise during a different week if it is that critical to view. Love Carnival and your blog! If they are that interested in the process, buy some video tapes ahead of time and ask a friend to videotape the convention. Consider also that not everyone on that ship is an American. You know, John, I really think a vacation is a time to put everyday routine on hold. Come on folks.....get with the program and relax. Believe me, it will be there when the ship returns. We see so much on the tv stations already that the last thing I am interested in is seeing it on the big screen on the Lido deck.
