It has been a really hectic week. Jim, Amanda, and I got two beagles last weekend. Jim got a two year old male named Truman and Amanda got a eight week old puppy that she named Zippy.
The pictures from Talin made me smile. That was such a beautiful city. Amanda did a book report on Estonia as one of her summer reading book reports. She really enjoyed the castle.
I was glad to hear that things went reasonablly well with the doctor. John, you have got to take care of yourself. We know you are devoted to the blog, but if you push yourself too hard, things will not be good. Remember, the blog keeps us connected to Carnival. Even if you do not put in an entry every day, we just want to know that the blog will exist.
I have to let you know, I really miss not being a regular blogger, however, there is a very good reason for my absence. I hope to resolve it soon.
Until I can get things on a more even keel, keep in mind that the two of you are always in my thoughts.
Cheers Mate!

You are a true gentlemen by tolerating that kind of conversations. Rules are there for a reason and yes there are many I don't care about but we follow them and move on. I remember on our last cruise in December (On the Freedom), Mr. Sony sat next to me as well and I was a little upset but got some laughs at the end because I kept seeing on his small screen "battery" problems. So I just giggled to myself, it reminded me of a movie I watched "TRUE LIES" with Arnold and Jamie Lee Curtis when the terrorist are trying to film the big guy and the battery is low. Maybe you've seen the movie. Anyway we are gearing up for a couple of hurricanes that are near by and we are feeling the effects of them. Just hope New Orleans hunkers down and is better prepared this time. Which as of late they are getting people evacuated and preparing the town and state for the worst. Lets hope it is not the worst. Say hello to Todd and based on your interview with him, we will see him again on Freedom on 28 February 2009, when we cruise for 8 days (Eastern Caribbean). Sorry we keep missing you John, we will be on the Splendor in November for the 2 day to Bahamas, so maybe we will see you then. We have also booked for Feb 2010 on the Carnival Dream. Anyway, say hello to Heidi and keep smiling.Luis & Maria Torres

Having disembarked almost over two weeks ago from the August 6th cruise, I can't stop thinking about the pizza on the Lido deck. That's the best darn pizza I've ever tasted. Can Carnival package it in the frozen food section of Publix's so I can have it at home anytime I want it? I'm seroius. Am I going to have to go on another cruise in order to eat Carnival's unbelieveably delicious crust and toppings?
Also, when is the gift shop going to stock a gold charm of the Carnival cruise ship? I can go on line and order a cruise ship charm, BUT I WANT THE FREDDIE HEAD THINGY on my bracelet. Can you give them a shout and put a bug in their ear? I spoke to about four ladies on my cruise who would have bought that charm in a heartbeat!!!!
I realize the gift shop is not technically under Carnival, but you have a lot of pull in this world of cruising, so I'm depending on you for this one. Let me know when it gets manufactured because I really really need it.

Thanks for bringing the Splendor - and all of CCL - to life for us. Good luck with your quick trip to Britain ... PLEASE leave copies of your "London's effort at the closing ceremony" all over the place - you should be knighted for it!We're travelling on the Splendor on the 'triple-trip' around South America, and looking forward to Gustav's CD interview, but in the interim, please could you answer a question [we can't find the answer anywhere!] ... What style are the power points on the Splendor? Are they American, British ... or what? Although I'm in my 60s I'm studying madly, and need to continue writing some of my thesis while I'm away ... and I'll need to plug in my laptop to do it! [Just to write, not to go online] As an Aussie, I'll need to carry the right plug convertor.
PLEASE ANSWER [although I hope this won't be shared with everyone else] - this sounds a silly question, but it's important to me!
Many thanks
