So sorry about your delay. Although everyone’s time is valuable to them, yours is more critical than most. Not having seen #3, I gather you have finally reached your destination.

Now I have to tell you a story similar to yours with the lady needing you to get up so that she could use the restroom. We are in seats at Philips Arena in Atlanta and the lights have dimmed and the show about to start and there comes two women who of couse have the seats in the middle of the row. Everyone gets up to let them in and we all sit back down. The concert begins and 20 minutes into it we all need to stand because the want to get out explaining as they go they are sorry but need to use the restroom. 5 minutes later they are back and carrying quart sized drinks and we all rise again. As they passed me I reached out and took their drinks causing them to stop and look at me like I had lost my mind. I smiled and said that they couldn’t have them back until the concert was over because drinking that much caused restroom trips and we had all been through hell to get there that night (it was the week after the tornado hit downtown Atlanta and streets were closed because they were still cleaning up glass and debris) and would just like to see the concert. Everyone laughed and I gave them their drinks back and they sat down and didn’t move again until it was over! I guess I was lucky they thought it was funny.

John, I sure am glad you gave us the speech about the ship being the safest place to be when there is bad weather around. . Considering the Hanna thingy is heading right for the place we will be cruising to next Thursday, Don and I both needed that talk to make us feel better. I will tell him John said not to worry they will take care of us………. now to convince me of that………BUGGER
Good luck and hope you get good news at the doctor. I’m really proud of you. The comment… the seat belt fits looser must mean there has definitely been a weight loss……..or they have made the belts bigger????? snicker

Hi John,

Another wonderful, unforgettable airline experience.

It’s not just Tropical Storm Gustav, there’s another one out there – Hanna, heading I think towards the Bahamas. Hopefully everyone & all ships will be safe (please no more for New Orleans, Grand Cayman, Miss., etc.).

Can’t wait for Rasp.#3, except we may be leaving early today, so I may not see it until Tuesday.

I am embarrassed… As a pilot myself I am ashamed and embarrassed… Although I am not of the airline pilot type I expect more from my brother pilots than that.

Perhaps a course in ‘manners’ needs be offered along with navigation and weather…
