Going, Going, Gone! LOL. You made a mistake giving him the bottle of Russian Champagne. He’ll be telling the story throughout the night.LOL.

John – you simply MUST read the Vacationstogo Newsletter by Alan Fox dated 9/9/08. You have schooled us well on the attributes of the French, and had it not been for you I would have thought Alan just had a bad day. But NO, now I know everything you said – and more! – must all be true. You are doing a great public service educating us. What ever you missed, Alan covers. Thanks!!! Save me from CDG airport!!!

  6. Jeff says:

I posted the Vacations to Go Newsletter in yesterday’s blog. Classic!

  7. I agree with King Ed
I couldn’t understand half of that
and I usually can tell a BOSTON ACCENT HALF A MILE AWAY!

    John:

    Say what????

I don’t know what he was smokin’ , but I am terribly upset that he did not SHARE!!!! LOL

And folks wonder why they went to the Legend’s Show.

Some folks will tell the Social Hosts anything to get on stage…but once they get up there…Carnival has no control. I will never forget the two gals whose “talent” was doing the Electric Slide to “I Shot the Sheriff”.

They were suppose to sing it but never did. (and did not even do the Electric Slide right). This was years ago (before I started my cruise spreadsheet)…so I can’t remember who the CD was….this was on the Jubilee in July 2002. The CD was not pleased!!! Brett was one of the acting ACDs and there was a lot of “conversation” going on between he and the CD. The only reason I know is because I was next and standing right behind them. One positive thing is they made me look REALLY GOOD!!! LOL

  9. Host Mach from Cruise Critic says:

Vaudeville is dead and Vladimir was the executioner.

Smirnoff, apparently, is very close to rocket fuel!!!

Thanks so much, Vladimir, for the laughs!!!

    Host Mach

  10. Marilyn Potenza says:

It takes much courage to get up on the cruise and be a part of the talent show. I was amazed at all the talent but John was very gracious to all the participants.

  11. Carol Schoenberger says:

    Hi John,

    Yuk – definitely needs translation.

That Vacations to Go Newsletter is the one I sent Stephanie to pass along to you. Seems a lot of us have seen it and thought of you.
