John Great articule in the Porthole magazine about us. Your the man.
Enjoy the cruise, Lambie. I’m sure your group will have a great time and forget the troubles of the world for a few days.
Thank you, John, for keeping us all informed on plans and changes. Jeri
Thanks John,
We are on the Ecstasy this Saturday the 20th and are so looking forward to a break. having waited so long and wondering it’s great that CCL managed to have everything worked out, kudos’ to everyone.
If you can swing it a autographed picture of you and a tray of canapés for us in U-83 for this cruise would be just dandy.

John,
My fiance reads your blog religiously and has gotten me into it as well. He contacted you awhile back about help with our Supper Club reservations and I just wanted to say “thank you” so much for all your help. You getting us in contact with our cruise director was amazing. I love that you took time out of your busy schedule to help us with such a little problem. I am so looking forward to sailing on the Glory on the October 4th and know that we are going to have an amazing honeymoon! You’re the greatest!
John:
Btw, we have another entry for your “You Can’t Make This Stuff Up” book….
one Conquest guest on Ike’s cruise was livid, because they did not know hurricanes hit the Texas Coast. They thought that was only Florida.
Some people should not be allowed to leave their house!!! LOL
You would think that Gustav the week before.. may have given someone a CLUE!
Thankfully, most of the folks I have talked with completely understood, used their travel insurance as it was intended and had a great cruise despite the weather issues.

Hey John/ Heidi
Urgent please reply!! Thanks
I hpe you are all doing well. I’ve really enjoyed the Blog lately the fun people you talk about and the stories you have to tell. Keep it coming, but don’t forget to take time for yourself.
I am sending you a link thingy from a travel agen in the area of Huston. They did have some damage there from Ike but the photos in the link are, well heartbreaking, my thoughts go out to ALL that were affected by this monster.

Keep up the great work and hope to hear from you soon.
Too bad we will not be able to meet in Dec as you will not be the CD on our Cruise.
All the best and say Hi to Heidi for me.

I am one of the “lucky” guests on the Carnival Conquest that left 9/7 and returned to New Orleans on 9/15. The itinerary was fantastic- with all the changes that hurricane Ike caused- the staff was wonderful. The crew’s smiles never wavered one day or one moment. I spent 2 extra days aboard and Carnival/travel agency made new flight plans for the guests needing to get back home. The excellent service never changed and and stewards worked worked worked. Jen the cruise director was wonderful- she had to have been extremely stressed but she kept the smiles coming and informed us as often as she could. My confidence in Carnival was reinforced on this cruise( #7)- we were never in harm’s way and I think I speak for most of the 2900 guests, we were always safe! John I hope you forward my note to Jen/staff on Carnival Conquest because they really should know how wonderful they all were during this difficult time.
The port may be open but public access to Galveston island is still restricted.
Dear John
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the entire crew of the “Splendor” for a great cruise. Ginny and I had a great time celebratiing or 50th anniversary. We are already looking foward to our next cruise…..Again many thanks

Dear John,
A friend of mine needs help. She is booked on a Carnival Cruise to go to the Cayman Islands for her daughter to get married there. There is just enough time to get back to the shop for departure so they were planning on the reception to be held on board. Somehow the bride got left off the list for the reception and they are trying and trying to get that corrected without success. Can you help her?…or give me the name of someone who can? Time is of the essence. Many thanks,
