I was on that fateful voyage of the Conquest and I can personally say that Jen and the crew did a marvelous job.

Our group of 4 enjoyed the first 8 days, but we loved the last 3 days. The crew had to work extra hard to entertain the 362 of us who were left onboard. Poor Jen had to be the “face” of Carnival to almost 3,000 unhappy guests, and she did a fantastic job. I’ll never forget her opening words at the “first” debarkation talk, “I got nothin’.

Those of you that have met Jen know that she is never speechless! Poor girl was caught between Carnival management, and some very unhappy people, and did an admirable job.

All I can say to the 2,600 or so people who jumped ship in New Orleans, you missed out on the best part of the cruise, the crew outnumbered us 3 to 1.

And as for the the lady wanting educational classes for her kid ::::::: DUHHHHH. Here is a math equation for her:

I would suggest a little more reading of this Blog and a little less paranoia.

There is no “big brother” screening the comments.
I have had several very positive comments get “lost in space”. Sadly the Internet is not an exact science….perhaps I forgot to press the correct button….perhaps the moderator simply missed it (they are human too) …. or perhaps the Internet in general just decided to fling it into lala land.

As for data about “alcohol revenue” unless it is cruise ship specific…it is useless. This is a unique business. Just ask the bar staff that all want to work the karaoke bar (totally nonsmoking all the time) because that is where the money is!!!

I agree Conquest should put the sheet up somewhere prominant…after all they Conquered a very tough time!

I have a few words (ok…a lot of words!) for the situation with the little 9 yr old girl and her mother…how terribly sad for that little girl, and I hope that mother wakes up, and realizes that that little girl needs some fun and a little more loving attention from her mom, too.

Well John, I have to agree with the poster a couple of weeks ago that someone is screening these comments and any opinion contrary to the reviewer is censored (eliminated). You asked for an opinion on your making the Piano Bar Non-Smoking, and I gave one with some data to support the fact that bar sales in that venue would suffer. I thought you could handle honest opinions?????? Do they have to be covered in butter or sugar in order to make it through? Apparently so. This is the second time I have submitted responses to opinions you have personally solicited, and they were not published earlier as well. I’m beginning to see that any negative opinions (and non of them were personally directed, only policy directed), just don’t show up. Sorry to see that because I thought this blog was different, but I guess not. Won’t waste my time in the future, I’ll just vote with my wallet.

If she wants someone else to do the educating, its not home schooling – its private education, albeit in one heck of a campus setting.

Like the others have said, tell her to bugger off.
