Im a bet sadden i was not able to get on and live chat with you I tryed but didnt know if I was getting though or not any way to my questions.
1 will you be the CD on the Dream for the BC3 Dec. 3 09.
2. My wife and i are planing for the Dec 3 09 cruise on the dream and will make finnel plane around Feb. and wish to invite you to have a drink with us for our 35 weddin anversry.
3. sence both our B-days are in Nov 18 and 19. and i want to surprize her with something any good ideas we did the dine thing on the conquest i was hoping you can help me come up with something she wont expect.

How NEAT to get to meet Big Tex’s Mom.
Now I see why Big Tex is so handsome…..
We have sailed with him 3 times so far as a Cruise Director on the Fantasy and 2 times as a Social Host on the Holiday. And of course, we are set to cruise with him 3 more times in January and February. So I guess you could say….we love sailing with him.
Thanks for a wonderful afternoon of chatting.

Hi John,
It’s been a while since I last emailed. My wife and I are booked on the Carnival Valor again for Jan 18th to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary (even though the actual anniversary date was this past Oct 10), and even bought some of those Carnival fun-tees (anniversary) to wear on embarkation day. One question, I miss those “whole body” showers, (you know, the ones that have five shower nozzles) that were in the locker rooms on the Fantasy class ships. I never saw them again since I started sailing the larger Carnival ships. Do the Fantasy ships still have them? Why don’t the larger ships have them?

Those guys from Arnold have it made!! Thinking up outlandish concepts to represent fun on a Carnival ship is gotta be one of the best jobs around! How do I sign on??
I’m looking forward to the video from Philly! I’m sure it’s going to be just a stellar an event as Dallas was!!!

Hi John,
Ok, look …before you come to Philly i need you to go get a good check up from the dear old doc. You need him to do a check of that colesterol thingy to make sure its in good shape.. cause when you get here bith Cindy and I would love to take you out and treat you to the best cheese steak that you have ever eaten….. no where on the face of the earth will you ever find a better steak sandwich.. there are however 2 down sides …..
1- they are not in and way shape or form a “HEALTHY FOOD” lol
2- Once you eat one you will become addicted to them and i can see you asking Cindy and I to send you a week or months supply of them lol
In and case my friend both Cindy and I are really looking forward to seeing you again and giving you a big hug and handshake for sure.
Let us know if you will be able to squeak some time to go and grab a steak.. you are not allowed to sit in a hotel in philly alone…

I was just wondering if the cruise you were talking about with the woman riding you like a bunking bronc and your pants falling down was Liberty in February 2006? If I am not mistaken, that was the woman that was sleeping during your show and you scared the wits out of her when you woke her up. That would also be the cruise with Willy and Anita Banger and Mr Cinninatti (I am sure that is not spelled correctly). Please respond. Thanks.

Once I know where in philly I will call aaa and see whats cheap in the area hotel wise. If we do come where can we meet with john and other bloggers the morning of.

Isn’t it costing Carnival more money to refund all these cruises, airfare, hotels, and all the other expenses then it would be to just keep the cruises in Europe? I was reading your Q & A and a lot of people are not booking on Carnival Corp. cruises again becuase of the Liberty cruises. So isn’t that loosing Carnival more money too?

Hi John, just wanted to drop you a note. We meet last Sunday and you had said you were going to have someone call me on Monday. No one ever called me Monday (or Tuesday or Wednesday).
I think bottom line about my cruise, sometimes the CD does matter. It’s too bad the CD couldn’t have been you. You sound like you were a super CD and loved and admired by all. My cruise is over, no harm no foul. It was what it was and Ike couldn’t have been planned for.
Loved meeting you on Sunday, that was enough. Thanks for a lovely day.

I can’t believe how many folks I’m meeting for the first time (I’m at a convention in San Antonio this week) who, onceI mention I was in Dallas for the world’s biggest beach ball, KNOW what I’m talking about!!!

I’ve been posting on Cruise Critic at the convention and folks go by and shoulder surf… once they start laughing or show interest… I turn around and friendships are made!!! I can’t even count how many of my business cards I’ve given out with my PVP’s name and your website written on the back!!!

Hi John, not been online for a couple of days and imagine my shock /horror to find through this blogthat the Liberty will not be sailing in europe next year. We had booked on the 6th September out of Dover as we fancied a different start to our cruise with a train trip down from Manchester followed by couple of days in London and taking in a show, then pop down to Dover and board ship. All very relaxed instead of mad dash through airport, missing luggage and just about getting to the ship before she sails. Que serra serra…… I see you recieved some stick on the live Q&A … Not heard anything from out TA yet as we booked throughthe U.S.So will be toll free calling tonight when I get home from work to see what alternatives there are.
Can you confirm if the Dreams first cruise out of Rome is 18th/20th or 21st September as I hav eseen three differentdates on different sites and forums as we may try this one even though its the same itinerary we did with you on the Freedom last year. Also do you know yet if you will be the CD on that cruise……..

Good luck John and all… getting into Philly on Thursday will not prepare you for the Victory Parade on Friday. Don’t make any plans that are time specific, as you may not make it. I was in Boston on the day before the victory parade a few years back and what a mess that was. Good luck!

We just heard that the Liberty European cruises for 2009 have been cancelled. Does this mean you’ll be CD on the Dream for the Grand Med fall of 2009 cruises?? Thanks. Janet

I was at Sunday’s Beach Ball event and you told me to listen because you would be offering cruise specials. I waited and waited and heard nothing. I later saw you and asked you about this, you told me to wait 15 min and that there would be some coupons being passed around, or if we did not want to wait we could just go to the website and click on I WAS THERE. Well I did both, and found NOTHING! I would like to find the deal that you told me about so that I can book another cruise! Could you PLEASE help me!

I have loved reading your blogs since just a few weeks ago… looking for ideas… what about the world’s largest snowman from Soldier Field in Chicago or on Navy Pier even though I’m in NJ. I need an excuse to visit my girls’ group friends, the majority of whom are from the Chicago area (hint-hint). What a hoot this would be. I’m sure my fellow Chicagoan’s would be more than willing to help organize this in some way!

When I heard your voice it brought back memories of one of the best curises we had been on because of you. If it wasn’t you it is someone that sound like you and look like you.
We (My Husband, Sister and Her Husband) had a ball in Downtown Dallas today. WOW! Setting the World’s Largest Beach Ball Record. My husband who loves to video capture a lot of good footage for us to remember this Guinness World Records. We were back and forth between the beach ball video and trying to make sure we was there for the drawing of the free cruise giveaway. We have a cruise booked for week of December 8, 2008 for our 20th wedding anniversary celebration. We knew it would be a long shot but was hoping we could win a curise and turn it in for a upgrade maybe.
John was so funny and a lot of fun just seeing him excite the people about a cruise and not just a cabin but a penthouse, the owner’s suite. We could only imagine winning such a gift. It was fun listening to him describe those accommodations of that suite. We would love to enjoy and experience as John say…The rich and famous lifestyle but our names wasn’t called to experience this hot and cold champangne suite of a deal.
We have some memories capture on tape that will always bring a smile to our faces. John, the one family that was there in person to receive their cruise was blessed by you and carnival. I was crying with over joy when you made it possible for their beautiful little daughter to be included in the cruise with her parents. I would have given you a big hug and shouted for all to hear ‘Oh John, you’re the best looking cruise director in the world’. I can say this was a Great Day in Dallas, Texas!
