Hello,
My son and I are casting away on our first cruise in December. We are quite excited and nervous. We both try to hide the later, but the truth is still there. We are a little nervous. We have rented a truck and driven the back county of Colorado but we have never sailed upon the wide blue/ish seas. We are hoping for a positive experience.

My husband, Don and I (and a couple other friends from our church) are cruising on The Splendor leaving on November 29 (17 more days-but who’s counting?) and was wondering if you could tell me who the CD will be? I was hoping it would be you…

Hello John… I’ve been reading your blog thingy since July when we booked our first cruise for the Nov 30th sailing on the FREEDOM. Would you tell me who the Cruise Director will be? We are only a few weeks away, and I can hardly contain myself.

I’ve posted quite a bit over the past few weeks John but now I’m wondering if you can work somewhat of a miracle. I am traveling as a part of party of 12-14 on the May 14th voyage. Because this is a true budget trip for all of us, we are on Main Deck. The dilemma is this. When we booked what we thought was our last cabin 2274 (as word of our cruise spread so did friends who wanted to come) by the next day all of the cabins had been “held” for people who select guarantees. I’m wondering if you could possibly get a miracle worked and get the adjoining cabin 2278 released to us so that we can switch cabin 2304 to that cabin? These are my bestest friends and cruisemates from Chicago that I’ve told you about that would love to meet you if you hold an event in Chi-town such as you held in Dallas or Philly…..You’ll get a double hug from me if you can help. (I don’t want to give the booking # or last names here and I suspect you would understand why.)

Three minutes of unbridled passion eh….

All my best and if you have a little girl thingy, she’ll look beautiful in a Liberty of London smocked dress!

ps: what is the name of the gentleman assistant cd from Canada on Destiny?

Thanks for the quick reply. I am writing you back on this blog because I am not sure that you are getting my reply messages. My family and I would like to sail on the Carnival Conquest that sails on June 14, 2009 from Galveston. Please let me know about any specials that might be available.

Dearest John,

I wanted to thank you for your help and suggestion on us doing something special for Martin (was Victory Casino Host) on our cruise this past October 26th. We were able to take him out to lunch when we were in St Kitts and had a terrific time. Martin is a wonderful gentleman. So full of life and energy and he loves working with Carnival and was so happy he got promoted to his new position in the Corporation. I for one feel Carnival made an excellent decision.

Anyway, our lunch was terrific and although saddened that Martin will not be stationed on just one ship so that we may visit him again, I know we will cross paths again someday.

Thank you so much John. This made our cruise extra special.

Please send my/our love to Heidi and desk and I am anxiously awaiting meeting you on BCv2 so that I can give you a huge hug of thanks in person.

This is regarding a cruise special that we discussed at the giant beach ball event. I have emailed you back (2 times) and I have yet to hear back from you. I just hit reply on the first e-mail that you sent me. I know that it went to Stephanie, but she assured me that you would get it. I was just wondering if you have had a chance to read it yet or not.
