I just wanted to take a moment to reply to Cheryl D. I’m glad you liked entry. It was nice to get to a chance to shine a little light on the mechanics behind the magic of our production shows and it’s always great to hear from another singer. Best of luck to you in you endeavors. About the salt thing….the same way dairy coats your vocal cords making them thick and unresponsive, salt dries them out and makes them brittle and much easier to bruise and tired while you’re singing. Hope this helps a little. Best to everyone out in Bloggersville.

Don’t ever think that we don’t love you here. I wish I found this blog a long time ago. I cruise as a respite from my everyday crazy life… two young adult children with substance issues now in recovery, two unexpected granddaughters with a third unexpected grandchild on the way. No one should have my life so disappearing from reality by cruising twice a year, with girlfriends or my husband, is how I/we keep it together along with my long distance friends and phantom friends such as yourself. YOU are Carnival’s own “guest relations” department by yourself. If you do a Dream bloggers cruise, I hope I can be a part of it! Heidi is so lucky to have you and you’re going to be the best Dad! They created Camp Carnival for you and Heidi! Isn’t Carnival known for their “family cruising”! Cheers from central New Jersey – Trenton to the west, Princeton to the east!

Six words John–BLOGGERS CRUISE OUT OF NEW YORK!!!!

Just saw the newest towel animal bit on Carnival Fun site (the one with the elephant). Please post on utube so I can add to my facebook page. The swans are already on it. I ALSO spent about 15 minutes trying to keep that beachball up in the air on that game—help me! High score–27–bummer.

I get tea in “Starrtea” (get the pun?) all the time with no problem. We have two of them in my town. We also own a bunch of their rapidly plummeting stock. Another bummer. Anyway, come to Long Island and we will take care of you. Tea any way you want. I drink about 4 cups a day. Make sure you get the Joy Christmas blend at Starbucks when it comes out. Yummy.

Keep the blogs and videos coming. And thank you for remembering the Veterans. My dad is gone 15 years now, and he was in the WWII Army Air Corps. Luckily he survived; he actually never spent time out of the States, but was an air artillery instructor, and I hope what he taught some other servicemen helped them in their battles.

Hi John,
What another great blog! I agree with the others about our family. I haven’t ever met any of you but I’ve been here from the beginning and it really is a family. We’ve prayed for each other, cried for each other, but most of all laughed with each other because it’s you that brings us those smiles each and every day. As long as you blog, I’ll be here. Wow! 3 bloggers cruises next year? I’m sooooo excited! Geoff and I just might make it on 1 of them. As for tea, I’m a coke drinker myself. My momma drinks tea but because we’re from the south, it’s sweet iced tea! Does that count? Thanks for what you have said about our vets. My brother was 1 of those not with us anymore. God bless all of them and thank you to the men and women that are serving now. If you see my pvp Damion Nelson, tell him hi and the Gurneys still think he’s the best pvp in the world! Love to heidi and Desk.

For years, I’ve had to explain that my being a teetotaler doesn’t mean I drink tea. It never works, though, because I *do* drink tea, and dislike the taste of coffee almost as much as I dislike the taste of alcohol.

I’ll use Splenda as a sweetener, and I used to like milk in my tea – but rarely do anymore, as I think it detracts from the taste. (and I like it fairly strong – steeped for a week is about right… )

Oddly, I only really drink tea when I’m travelling – almost never at home. Most frequently, I’ll drink it at the end of a meal out – with dessert every evening on a cruise, for example. I *do* admit to drinking tea with breakfast when offered, but then I’ve also been known to drink Caffeine Free Diet Coke with breakfast, so I’m already far off the deep end with that. Tea for breakfast is a relatively minor heresy.

She probably won’t see this until after, but I hope Jaime has a good time at St. Maarten. I’ve only been there once, but it immediately became one of my favorite places. And there really is nothing better to do at 3AM on a cruise ship than have pizza. Well… other than go all the way forward and enjoy the dark and the stars and the breeze on your face and the sound of the sea, but then I digress, and besides, pizza comes first.
