Hey John! I see you hung out on the third floor. I'm sorry I missed you on Thursday. But as you know, I was visiting the great team we have in our Colorado Springs office. It was VERY COLD!!!! I thought you were going to stop by on Friday to see me. I got all prettied up just for you.

I'm glad you had the opportunity to showcase the folks behind the scene. Our reservations team is great and I'm sure they had a great time hanging around with you.

I hope to see you in the office soon! See you on the Splendor today?

Cheers!

John - PLEASE REPLY

>>>Tomorrow I will let you know about some future plans of our blog thingy and…..what I will be doing next year.

Any answer that does not include spending time with your wife and daughter will be rejected by the entire blog.

After the Blogger's Cruise, your duty - yes, duty - lies with your family. If you are not on the next flight to England and the beautiful woman that you married, then you will be excommunicated from the blogger's family (but Heidi and Thingy will continue to be members).

Love,

Jon

Hey John:

I had to read rather quickly as I am "borrowing" the hotel's computer to write this.

We are all checked in at the Hampton Inn Plantation (Room 424....if anyone wants a pre-cruise party...at least until 9PM...after that...it will be lights out! 16 hour drive LOL)

I am with you on the beef.

My favorite saying is "Beef and Burn It" when we first meet our waiters.

JAIME:

We will see you tomorrow!!! woo hoo

I have told others the same thing--Carnival has the best food! I understand that people love the somethings of the seas but have to tell you their food doesn't hold a candle to Carnival!

Great videos and can't wait to see you on the Splendor in just a few minutes...woohoo.

Hello John,
When my husband and I first became travel agents eleven years ago, I quizzed everybody I know who ever took a cruise. I asked what they liked and disliked, what cruise line they sailed with, etc. The only complaint I ever heard at the time was about the food on Carnival. I know for a fact that the people at Carnival read the comment cards very carefully, and at about that time they made a concerted effort to upgrade the food. I had my first meal on a CCL ship in 2000. I thought the food was great. I have since been on 8 Carnival cruises, and I can honestly say, "their food is as good as any of the other lines I've been on." I've been on several other lines, because as an agent I feel it's my duty to try them all, including Celebrity, who USED to have the reputation of having the best food. I think Carnival tries very hard to have something to please every taste on the menu.

About the well done meat, all I can say is "just like mother used to make." I grew up with Mom cooking everything well-done because that's the only way Dad would eat it. What saved it was the fact that Dad made the absolute best gravy in the world. I didn't care how the meat was cooked, as long as there was Dad's gravy. When the meat was gone, we put it on toast!
Thank you for the videos. I have to admit, I still like the old-fashioned paper docs. I look forward to the little blue folders with a pocket to put the Fun Pass in. As it is, I enter all the info and print out everybody's Fun Pass. I'm still lamenting the fact that CCL doesn't send us the shore excursion booklets anymore. My senior citizen clients, most of whom do not have computers or printers, really look forward to those booklets. Now that they don't send them anymore, I have to go online and print out all the shore excursions, and the descriptions, and make copies for all of them to take home and read. Just another service their friendly travel agent provides.:)
I hope you keep blogging for a long time to come. There are many of us who look forward to your blogs. They are a bright spot in my day.

Looking forward to meeting you in Feb,
Best wishes to Heidi,
Cheryl D.

Hi John!
Thanks for the inside look! It sure appeared that these people enjoy thier jobs, even though they aren't on a ship. That's what makes Carnival the best!

And I agree.... Carnival does have the best food!!!

Hugs!

Hi John,

I have been on other cruise lines besides Carnival and I must say...Carnival does have the best food. Also, If you are looking for a good steak it needs to be from Iowa Corn Fed Beef. Non of that range fed stuff.

Good Morning John,

I would make a horrible vegan/vegetarian, I love my meat and I like my steak medium rare. To see a shriveled up piece of very dry meat on my plate, no thank you.

I think the food on Carnival is the best. Not that I have another cruise line to compare it to, but the food IMO is hands down the best I have ever eaten. But who can complain about sitting at a lovley table, being waited on by terrific servers and severed really good food? I know I never have.

Thank you for your report Jaimie. I do not think I would ever take another cruise with five days at sea, that was just to many for me. We did that when we went to Hawaii.

Keep smiling John, my best to Heidi.
