Just finished reading all the blog thingys I missed over the weekend. Memories of Mrs. S.Nob. I hope her namesake is doing well.I'm sorry you can't find your picture of Cyndi Lauper. Do you still have the one I sent you? I know it wasn't autographed, but at least it's from that cruise. That cruise was so much fun. But I'm sorry I never thought to get her autograph. I just have the picture of me with Capt. Lou (for my nephews).Simon Legree is lurking so I'd better close this now. Take care,

He had symptoms that he had ignored prior which he left too late and while he was treated and went into remission for a few years he may still be with us if he had treatment earlier. So look after yourself, we all hate the intrusions on our body but unfortunately they are necessary.

Speak to your children too.........Thanks to your humor John, maybe it will become table conversation and save a life, or lives. I am sorry for your shipmate. And wish him God sped to a hasty recovery. If my son Jeff had not finally come clean about having diarrhea 10 times an day we may not have him healthy happy and full of turkey on our sofa in front of the football game...........Look forward to your Dr's report. I'll be sure to "wet" before I read. Laughter over 50. Not without it's precautions!Kathie (Kaperino)

Colon and prostate screening for everyone of age or remote notions of unnatural circumstances. Such a shame about John Cleese. What is it about actors, singers and now comedians that makes them think the world gives a rip about their political viewpoints?
Thanks for taking the time to plug cancer screening. Two of the most preventable and easily screened for cancers are prostate and colon.
I know the thought of a finger or a camera up the backside is unpleasant but years and quality of life in exchange for a few minutes of unpleasantness is a good trade.
As for "Mexican"food restaurants in London...No. Here's a good rule. Don't eat Mexican food north of Dallas. Come to Texas and I know for a fact one of the "Crazies" will be glad to take you to someplace good.

John, I hope this finds you feeling better.<br

1) 27 days until my New Year cruise on the Splendor, YAY! Anyone else here going on the 27th? Look me up on facebook and lets meet up. More than likely, I'll be in the piano bar!2) Did I mention before that I play tournament darts? (and I thought I liked you! lol)Now, the serious stuff.I skipped a few beats when you mentioned your problems until I got to Heidi's comment about the beetroot. Yes, go for your checkup anyway. You owe that much to Heidi and the Thingy. For everyone who reads this blog, if you haven't gone for a checkup, GO! Especially if you are over 50. (or over 40 if there's a family history.)I speak from experience. I have lost not one, but two husbands, to colon cancer. Both of them put off getting screened for years because the test "was creepy". If they hadn't put it off, maybe they would still be with us. CC is extremely treatable if caught early or in the polyp stage but difficult to treat otherwise. That's why early screening is so very important. In Loving Memory of:

It has been a long time since I checked in with the blog! Sorry you are under the weather. Hope you will recover soon. I agree with you, the cruise lines are under stringent controls in terms of health regulations. I think Carnival does an excellent job of keeping things under control. Gosh, you do not pay big bucks to go on a cruise and get sick!
Hope Heidi and the baby are doing well. Take care and I will try to check back sooner!

I agree with others about their experience on the Splendor Would have had a better time if you were on board. I've mentioned it before, but enjoyed our time with Kevin and Jaime. Also Ken took very good care of us in the dining room. We did the back to back and he let us choose our table for the second part. Maybe it helped that we mentioned your name??????????? Take care of yourself and hope you feel better soon. Regards from the Beast.

John..just love your descriptions of your medical conditions.
