Just got back from my New Year’s cruise aboard the Carnival Splendor and am catching up on the blogs. I wanted to take the time to thank you for helping us arrange our dinner plans with Greg Gallello. We had an awesome time! Would’ve stayed on, but Laura had to get back for school (and I couldn’t convince anyone to pick her up at the airport and watch her for a week lol.

Oh wow! I can’t pick just one! So many have been wonderful. Claire-the dance captain on the Splendor. She is just so sweet and friendly. Really one of the nicest people in the world. Goose and Wee Jimmy rock! Stitch is really alot of fun and brings the fun out of people. Kevin and Adele are wonderful too! And our very first assistant waiter Dale Baker was great too. I wish I could remember his name, but our room steward on the Inspiration was the best ever! Oh and I can’t forget my very favorite ACD, BBig Sexy (even if he doesn’t answer email in a timely manner) One day John-I’ll add you to the lilist. Since we only met in Philly and not on a ship, I’ll have to hold back for now

Hmm. Roatan or Grand Turk. Though St. Thomas has always been special for other personal reasons.

Well, I’ve never cruised outside of the Caribbean, so I’ll have to pass. I’m hoping for Egypt one day!

You don’t serve it anymore, but the chicken stuffed with spinach was to die for.

The fig, date, and cinamon cake I tried last time. No idea the name of it though.

How come the website price for balcony is cheaper on Carnival site than the Advertised doorbuster specials for past cruisers in the New Currents Magazine,price quoted in magazine… $799 4 balcony 4 Valor Sept/09 on line on Carnival site regular price is $749??? Whats up with that,??Thats kind of false advertising for a special isn’t it?-Sandra

1. YOUR FAVORITE CARNIVAL SHIP – Carnival Splendor – She new and so shiny! Plus she had a wonderful staff that made for one of the most memorable vacations ever!
2. THE OUTSTANDING CARNIVAL CREW (or staff in my case) MEMBER AWARD – Claire – Dance Captain of the Splendor, really one of the sweetest people I have ever met! Also a special shout out to Stitch – He knows how to get people involved! Also Kevin and Adele on the Splendor! =)
3. THE OUTSTANDING CARNIVAL SHORESIDE EMPLOYEE AWARD – Sandy in reservations! And the Port Canaveral folks! They have it down to a science!
4. THE BEST CARIBBEAN PORT OF CALL – Roatan BY FAR! So pretty and still somewhat untouched!
5. THE BEST NON-CARIBBEAN PORT OF CALL – not sure but will be finding out on my Alaskan cruise on the Spirit in May!

7. THE BEST CARNIVAL SHIPBOARD ENTERTAINER AWARD – I really enjoyed Scotch (guitar player/singer) on the Splendor! First entertainer I ever wanted to just sit and listen to! Also Happy Cole – one of the funniest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting (and actually having a conversation with)
8. YOUR FAVORITE ONBOARD DINNER MENU ITEM – Beef Wellington and the Cesar Salad

It’s got to be Mistress of the Blog Stephanie. With all the work she puts into this blog and her other “social networking” duties, she still manages to answer all our queries and and deal with near constant pestering from the Krewe with graciousness and aplomb. I mean really, just dealing with Big Ed on a regular basis deserves some kind of award! LOL! (Love ya Ed!)
