Sad News
As I am sure many of you will have seen on the news reports that last night a crew member was lost overboard on the Carnival Sensation. I cannot comment on who the crew member was or what happened but I can say that this person was a very popular entertainment team member and our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this terrible time. We must also think of the colleagues left behind and how difficult and emotional it will be for them today.
I ask you to remember the family of our friend who was lost to the sea …………………….and the entire crew of the Carnival Sensation

I wanted to leave my sympathies for the family of the missing man and the entire crew of the ship. I sailed with Carnival for the first time this past October and the crew was so nice, you feel like you know all of them. The entertainment staff are all very talented and this is surely a great loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

To all Carnival Team Members
Our Prayers go out to most certainly the Family and Crewmates of the lost Crew Member.
Sometimes we Focus on just the Fun side and Forget that running a Cruise Liner is a serious buisness and that sometimes when we least expect it, the reality of this dangerous job sends us a reminder.
To all the crews on all of the ships no matter what the colors they are flying, we say a prayer daily for your safe return home.

Yes, Mike and I saw the breaking news last night, we live just a 1/2 hrs. drive from Vero Beach, and the Sensation was on its way back to our home port when this happened, and as Bee said the railings are high, so it always amazes me when someone falls overboard like that. However, the reports say he was standing on the rail taking a picture of fellow team mates. Certainly a CCL employee should be well trained in not to do such a thing! Can’t believe this has happened. I hope they find the body, in closure for the family at least. I feel that not only should we have lifeboat drills onboard but they should discuss not getting too close to railings as well, as accidents can happen, no matter how careful anyone is! Linda

My family was saddened to hear of such a sudden and seemingly senseless death. As a crew member he should have know better than to climb on a rail for any reason. I suppose that “GOD” needed a crew member for his cruise ship in “Heaven”. Our condolences to his family and all crew members. I can not fathom their pain they are enduring from witnessing such a tragic event. May they seek refuge from their pain in the “Lord”.
