To see what all the different positions on board do gives people a greater appreciation for the staff on board . I feel we enjoyed our trip more when we got to find out about the staff. We in particular loved to get a chance to sit and talk with staff, to really find out about them and where they are from . Thats part of the whole cruise experience . We really are missing it this year and all the blog plans are sounding so wonderful we would really , love to go . I am still entering every vacation contest there is and we are trying so hard to save for one. As the temperature plumets we load up the fire and we read your blog . Its good to dream . Thanks for a great blog . Friends of ours are expecting within the next three monts . They found out on the weekedn just what is expected and its going to be a girl. this was interesting to me , Cause we were not able to do this when I was expecting . My question to you this time is Would you want to know , the way in which it was to be told for me was by lying on the floor while a bunch of women held a needle tied to a thread and the direction it swung was the childs sex. According to it it was wronmg everytime . Also many older women would tell me if I was carrying lower the baby was a boy , if I carried all round It was a girl . So my problem there was I carried all over and it was hard to tell to me just how the $##%$%^they could tell . So I guess its weird for you not being near Heidi to enjoy the next few months in the pregnancy - she will have a lot of changes. I look forward to hearing more , and We are out of the flue bug stage at home , the damn cold will certainly kill them off- its minus 33 here so do not complain about the heat . we could use some . cheers and try not to enjoy the sun and the fun to much . My first cruise was on the 'old' Oriana in '81. I certainly had a great time sailing around the South Pacific with my girlfriends and I remember the captain had a wonderfully dry sense of humour. I have never been on Carnival - and to be honest - was warned against it by friends who know I am very loyal to Celebrity...To make a long story short, I need to change the name of a passenger in my room... I called in two days ago and was informed by a helpful customer service person that this was not a problem (as one of the names was staying the same), and that there would be no charge, etc...Today, Carnival is telling me that there is a $100 fee!!! ($50 / week)... It's the principal of the thing at this point... In our two rooms, we are spending well over $6,000 with this company and they want to charge me $100 more now???I asked to speak to a supervisor...
