But I really feel all the new ads are lacking a catchy song behind them. I used to love the music in your old ads. As soon as the "You're my best friend" song came on the TV I knew it was a Carnival commercial. Same thing with the "Somewhere, beyond the sea" song. Music can be used as a real identifier of your brand. It's not just the spoken word that is important to make people remember your commercials. I liked the new commercial. At least I got the implication that fun involves Carnival Cruises when you see scenes from aboard the ship. Seeing is believing (or so they say).There are many cruise lines and they all go to similar ports-of-call. So factoring out the ports leaves the differential ….the deciding factor….. Sometimes THE destination for many guests is …..the ship. Combined with excellent crew, unparalleled service, impeccable dining options, and awesome entertainment ….. I am still wondering , Our kids thought it really did not appeal to them . It was really not that funny they thought it was not really much to speak of. So the teen market may not really see it as interesting . Well the beach ball one that was neat. This one - well not really .... Sorry but it just did not scream CARNIVAL FUN FOR ALL ALL FOR FUN - maybe if there was a little more of the water slide less of the guy talking - and showing just how big the slide is - the speed .
