Tracy Arm is by far the most scenic trip there is. On my trip I saw unbelievable calving glaciers, bears, humpback whales, killer whales, beautiful waterfalls and much more. I definitely recommend going to Tracy Arm. In fact, there is a movie on Tracy Arm called “Alaska, The Tracy Arm Experience”. The film captures the beauty of this incredible place. I highly recommend Tracy Arm. If you get a chance, experience it yourself. And don’t forget to buy the film too!

Hey John.
When asking where the german pupil T. Kretschmar -the kid that went mad, killing 15 innocent people- got a gun from, he was the son of a deer-hunter, who owns guns legally. The actual news are that Mr Kretschmar- the father is sued for negligent homicide, because he was not keeping the Beretta at a safe place. In Germany, gun laws are very strict. Just like you, I had no clue where to get a weapon from and neither do the people I know. And thats good.
If I lived in the U.S. and I had to walk to work e.g., I’d think twice about walking across peoples property, when there’s no sidewalk. They could shoot me for a reason, because everybody wears guns. If you counted homicides, caused by firearms in the US and compare them to those in Europe you’ll see that the mentioned massacre in Germany is an exception shocking the entire country. It’s no rule.

Hey John, hey everyone,
I wish I had known about the Distilled water being available on the ships while we were on the Bloggers cruise last month! I use a Cpap machine too, and brought it, and used the bottled water that was in the room..oh well, live and learn!

I too didn’t get picked to host one of the Carnival home parties…bugger and a half…oh well. And tell Jaime that Suefromnarrowsburg is another blogger that thoroughly enjoyed her blogs from the cruise around S. America. It sounded wonderful, especially the trip around Cape Horn. and those pictures were amazing! So sorry to hear about the man who went overboard, so sad.

Hey John, great blog, have enjoyed it. We just got off the carnival victory sailing March 1st and it was wonderful, I do however want to know if its possible to get a drink receipe? yes a drink receipe, we loved the raspberry sour drinks on the ship but forgot to ask how they were made. can you help? thanks a ton.

Its me again Erin W. (Celebrating my 30th in April with Butch and the Glory gang)..Anyway I am a Carnival FunDay Sunday host (YEAH) and just watched your video on party central..In the video you say to click the link to enter to win a free cruise.. However i cant find the link and several other people have posted they dont see it either…Do you know where we can find it??

Also in one of your posts you mentioned that Butch may get transferred to the liberty – Does this mean I wont have him for my birthday?

Dear John,
I have kept quiet over the last few days regarding the “Royal Champions” but since you asked, I would like to express my “opinion”.
I am loyal to CRUISING. I am not loyal to 1 brand. As you have stated numerous times on your blog, cruising is a vacation package worth every penny. Room, food, entertainment and travel all wrapped into one fantastic package.And I have been fortunate to have found fun and find value on Carnival as well as other cruise lines.
My thinking is this: Is it possible that ALL the cruise lines have something of a “Royal Champions” program, but RCCL was the only one to be, for lack of a better word, ‘caught’? Something to think about.
No, I don’t particularly like rock climbing. But that doesn’t keep me from sailing on RCCL. As well, giant slides don’t do much for me either. But that doesn’t keep me from cruising with CCL. My point is, does it really matter in the end? We all like to cruise and whether ANY of the cruise lines try to reach out and grab guests, it’s not going to make a big difference.
Whew! I feel much better now.

Jordan, yes I am on Cruise Critic, I must confess I have never traveled on Carnival, DCLCRUISER71 is my cc, I am hoping to get to go on one in December at graduation. I just thought it was extremely funny to find a CPAP connection and UCO connection in a Carnival blog:) Great blog by the way. As a former customer service person, I love the guest complaints, I could read them and laugh all day. The things people let bother them on a cruise amaze me!
