As Milestone Rewards level cruisers we have witnessed some awful behavior on the part of guests--in many cases over a very small issue. As we watched this unfold we commented that most would have fun and roll with what ever came of it while a select few would completely lose their minds and go off on a rant usually to a junior crew or staff member. We find it embarassing for other guests and hurtful to the crew member who is subjected to the tirade! Seldom do these complainers have the courage to talk to someone with gold stripes on their shoulders. Roger T John

I was wondering how I would handle the change. I just remembered that I had vacation plans changed on me. We were staying in Yosemite. Fires were burning and threatening the ONLY road out of the valley. The bars stopped serving as no one knew when or if an evacuation order would come. (At least they could still drink and be entertained on the ship). Evacuation came the next morning. We drove out, bumper to bumper on a two lane road with fire on either side. (Have to admit, small section with very small flames). I was disappointed our vacation ended early but glad nothing worse happened. I feel for all the Carnival employees who are having to deal with passengers as the company has to reposition ships due to the flu outbreak. I commend them for all of their hard work as passengers are being difficult regarding circumstances that are out of their control. What a sad story out of Holland reading/seeing what happened at the Queen's parade yesterday. Thanks for a great blog and have a great weekend. Who knows...maybe you'll be a dad come Monday?
