We believe people are leaning too far over the balcony or they are getting drunk and sitting on the rail. We are warned on the first day about the ship moving and sometimes jerking in the seas and people should know if you are leaning over and the ship jerks to the side real sharply, you may go over! You would almost have to climb the rail or be sitting on top of the rail to fall over. We don't know if there is anything more you can do to warn people about this but it is so tragic to think about someones loved one being lost at sea. We've been on several Carnival ships and you can't just fall over. There are signs everywhere when there are high winds or high seas so there is no excuse for someone not knowing, yet we see people everywhere totally ignoring the signs or the words of the ships CD. They just do exactly what they want and dare you to tell them different. It's just a shame and very tragic. Our hearts and prayers go out to the families.Mike & Lori John,

You probably scared half of the people who have their cruise planned to be the first cruise of the ship. I watched a documentary of what the ships go through for a retro fit during dry dock. Amazing what they can do and how organized they have to be. So all of you folks who have the inaugural cruise don't worry be happy as the ship will come together faster than the inlaws at a Bar-B-Q. Anyway, thanks for the posting of the new CD schedule. Got off the Valor two weeks ago and couldn't wait for my next cruise (this September on the Elation) so now I have some information as to who is going to be the CD then.About Kye and the ceiling fan, my little boy just loved watching ours go round and round!! There is something about watching the motion that is calming and I would just let him relax on the bed and watch it. Glad to know that all is well with her. One suggestion though...have you thought about swaddling her? I did so with my little one and it was like a DRUG!!
