		<description>Hi John,

I just wanted to offer some information to the guest that asked for additional inofrmations about the &quot;Where Next?&quot; certificates. They are not applicable with certain promotions, like the military rate, but are combinable with Carnival past guest and Early saver rates. They can also be combined with bookings made by travel agents or online bookings. I have also just found out that they can be combined with a group booking which is great as you can often get an onboard credit for a group booking and the certificate will give you an additional one. Overall I am very satisfied with this new promotion and I think that if you follow the simple instructions your guests will enjoy spending Carnivals money.

Thanks for everything and keep up the good work!

		<description>Dear John, please reply,
Hope you are well and enjoying being a CD again.
I wanted to comment on the certificates being sold by Carnival. I had a terrible experience in Feb right before we sailed on the bloggers cruise. I had reached 30 yrs service on my job and was given a 750.00 online gift choice. Because Stu and I wanted to do the bloggers cruise I decided to choose the a carnival gift certificates to ofset the cost of trip. Dec 11th I went into the hospital and had major surgery and learned I had stage 1 overian cancer. I was released from the hospital on Sunday Dec. 14th and payment for cruise was due on Dec. 15th. Because of everything that happened to me Stu had to get the certificates asap to agent . My travel agent had to fedex them and was assured by carnival they could be used for payment. Two days later I received a call that those cert. cannot be used for payment and I had to pay for trip with my credit card. Still only few days after surgery I was upset and had to do so. I then tried calling Carnival and wanted to use the cert. for my on board credit. Honestly they were not as helpful as the staff on the ship. They basicly told me they were useless at this point. I spoke to many different people and bottom line I was told to cancel trip and re book through Carnival and then they can be used. I didnt think that was fair to the agent that booked. Plus no guarentee I would have same room etc.. Carnival did nothing for me I felt that 750.00 was alot of money to throw away.Due to my illness was not sure if and when I would be traveling again due to my treatments starting day after bloggers cruise returned. I was not going to mention this, but as long as someone else had a question about the certificates I wanted you to be aware of this. I had to speak to many people at the online gift company and finally I had got my gift certificates changed for a major deptartment store . Not what I wanted to do. Also I think that Carnival dollars and certificates should be explained as to the differences.
In spite of being treated by not caring people that man the phones at Carnival we had a wonderful time again cruising with you and will see you on the Dream in Nov.</description>

		<description>Hello John

They&#039;re right &quot;you can&#039;t fix stupid&quot; maybe you should have let her swim in it!!!! and she would have changed her mind?? who knows.

Well I have some news for you (which I also want to share with my fellow bloggers). Unfortunately I cannot make the Carnival Dream Bloggers cruise this year but I give this up to follow another dream of mine.

Ever since I was a child I wanted to work in the missionlands and I am finally fulfilling my dream by going to Tanzania, Africa to volunteer with a foundation called &quot;Give a Heart to Africa&quot;. I will be working with young children and adults to help teach them basic learning skills in English, Math, and business (how to use a computer) etc.

My trip is scheduled to happen in September/ October and I wanted to share with everyone the website and blogspot so that if at all possible people can look at it and learn about it and maybe even see if they can help out whichever way they can. I will definitely write about my experience when I am there and maybe John you can post it?

The website is: giveahearttoafrica.org and the blog is: giveahearttoafrica.blogspot.com

John it is sad that I will not see you this year but this opportunity came my way and I cannot ignore it. I hope that in 2011 Carnival will go to Europe and Harold and I can be there to see all three of you. Best wishes to you, Heidi and Kye.

		<description>Hi John,

Please respond

Can you tell me why they only have Carnival Elation schedule of cruise until April 2010, when most of the other ships are now into 2011. My family would like to book a cruise on the Elation for next summer, but it only goes to April 26, 2010. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Your blog thingy fan,

		<description>Hi John!
Long time.....no comment! Well, I am back in the loop. I retired after 39 years in education.
Sounds like a typical cruise with folks not adjusting to change very well. You have to be flexible. Unfortunately, many times you find yourself as the source of their rantings! People should just &quot;go with the flow.&quot; I mean, there is more than one pool.
Hope the rest of the cruise will be better. I will try to check the blog on a regular basis, however, we will be on the Glory on the July 11th sailing.
Oh, comment on High School Musical- The song &quot;Get Your Head in the Game&quot; became Amanda&#039;s theme song during that winter. She was playing basketball which is her top sport. She went around singing that song a lot and so did I.
Gotta Run! Jim needs the computer for his job.
Take it easy!

		<description>John - PLEASE REPLY

Is it true that you sent the lady who complained about the closed poopy pool a bottle of French wine?

It only seems appropriate. :)

		<description>Hi John

Just spent the last two hours catching up on the blog, so much to read. Loved reading about james what a star, and the photo of Kye smiling beautiful, she is the image of Heidi.
Have been away for a few days on a NCL ship, had a lovely time with friends but the ship just isn&#039;t a carnival. The buffet (had a crepe station) and steak rest excellent but the dinning room so bad. For a small ship they have about 8 dinning rooms that all charge extra and then charge again for bigger steak/lobster, please dont let the magic go this way. The cabin was tiny but all ok, but the toilet was tiny you had to sit on the loo at a strange angle otherwise your knees would wedge against the wall. The singers/dancers very good did a excellent show something like xfactor, very entertaining. but the comedy act some guy whos claim to fame was writing for benny hill in the 70&#039;s was the worst i have ever seen so bad, but he said he had just come back form florida of a carnival ship (want tell you what he said about it, nearly got out of my seat and decked him) tell me he does not work for carnival!! Hate freestyle dinning no interaction with the waiters etc and all very rushed.
So John better go and sort family out, miss seeing you around, Heidi will speak soon i hope,
take care

<description>Hi John, I saw in a recent blog that you are trying to find out the rules for using the &quot;Where next certificates&quot;. We were just on the 6/14/09 sailing of the Carnival Splendor. I bought five of these certificates for a total of $500. When we got home I sent in the first one to use it on our 11/15/09 sailing of the Carnival Dream booking 56H5R7. I found out today that the certificates can&#039;t be used when you are booked using a military rate. Carnival is going to credit the $100 on the cruise but I won&#039;t get the extra on board credit for the certificate. I am going to keep the extra four certificates for awhile in case I ever book with another rate. Please try to get the rules published.
Thanks again for all your help.
