I have seen
many Moms do this and it serves many purposes.1. It can be set up in the shade of a quiet deck for Mom and little one to play...and still be away from the harsh sun.2. It can be set up on a balcony to play in as well.3. It can be used in the shower as a bathtub...since little ones usually do not like showers.I also highly recommend a balcony for anyone bringing a child that is to young for Camp Carnival.
This way the parent can sit and enjoy the wonderful ocean while relaxing ... as the little one enjoys their nap.Linda (Mom of DJ)

John:

Subject: Potty Training, Swimmies and Ship Pools

As you have correctly stated, little ones who are not Potty Trained are unable to use the pools and water parks….

BUT may I suggest to Elinor that she use an alternative that seems to have worked for years….

bring a small inflatable pool with you. Yes there where times where I would be the only one, however the Matria'D would move me or others around, to fill the empty seats or tableswith other singles or couples who where alone. That is one of the things I really like about assigned dinner times. the Staff can move people around to make your dinning experience a fun time. I am not sure you can do that with any time seating.I do look forward to being able to check this out. one question, no need to answer me, but can you switch to assigned dinning or are you stuck with type dinning you select??thanks for the great job you do,your friend ,Capt Bill

Hey John,

I have some thoughts abou anytime dinning, how ever I have never experinced anytime Dining, I have been interested in it. not because I am anxous to try it, I have been a fan of assigned seating for many reasons. but after reading your blog tonight I might be interested in trying it out. my issue is that I traveled (before I got married ) single, and most of the time I was seated with people near my own age most of whom where single. It is always such fun to see other Carnival ships when you are in port. The Carnival Valor, Destiny and Leg End were in Grand Cayman together in June when we were there too.Love the video of the kids..very cute.

I like the standard dining and love having the same waiter each night. Does "Our" Carnival Dream, that we will be sailing on Oct. 27th have Coffee Cards? If so how much? If not, could that be possibly something the bearded men could look into. Was on Princess this spring and they have them and I enjoyed my morning, afternoon & evening latte'

Dear John Please reply if you can as I will await your response with abated breath (ok, I know I’m laying it on a little thick)

Oh yes the question! I can't believe reading about the collision from yesterday.
Is everything ok? What kind of time frame will the Leg End be out of service for the minor repairs?
Hope things are fine. I bet you had your hands full.
Take care!

I love the pictures that have the multiple Carnival ships next to each other. The ones posted today are just as exceptional. Thanks for posting them.
I look forward to trying the anytime option when dining. I think it will be very successful.
Hope you are getting readjusted on your time clock.
Thanks for the blog and talk to you soon.
Take care!
