Priceless!!!
Hi John,
Thanks for the videos!

John I beat that the poor Stephanie L. was just traumatized by you loosing your shorts. I can just see her now hanging over the rail feeding the fish her lunch.
Now that you had practice I’m sure you will be ready for our BIG race while on the bloggers cruise on the Carnival Dream. I feel sorry for anyone standing at the bottom of the slide at the end of the runoff pool. There will be the BIGest tidal wave you ever saw.
BIG ED
PS, Have you got SPEEDO to sponsor us yet.
The videos are great!! Thanks for posting them.
I still think this should be a weekly event, beat the cruise director. John you would only have to go down the slide say 100 – 200 times
I’m so jealous! My kids begged for a land based Disney vacation this year and got it. I longed for a cruise the whole time we were there. On the plane ride home the kids (ages 8 and 4) asked when we were going on our next cruise. If my feet didn’t hurt so bad I would kick their little butts!
Dear John…Please reply
I am wondering if the Carnival tag line “All for fun, Fun for all”is copywrited? I just heard the exact same thing on a Kellogs Pop Tart commercial.
Thanks…Irene Garner (hooked on cruising
JOHN – PLEASE REPLY PRIVATELY
John,
I wrote to you a couple months ago, and you asked me to write again shortly before my honeymoon cruise. We met onboard the Splendor’s “inaugural” voyage from Dover, the day after I’d proposed to my fiance atop Dover castle.
This Sunday, Julie and I will be married. It is to be a bittersweet day, as we had to fly out to our wedding early to attend the funeral of her grandmother, who unfortunately couldn’t hold on long enough to make it to the wedding.
There were a couple things I was hoping you might be able to help with:
1) I have no idea how y’all pick participants for the newlywed/not-so-newlywed game, but I think it’d thrill my new bride to compare answers to some of those questions… Any chance of putting a good word in with Butch for us?
2) Is there any way to sign up for the ship tour in advance, or can it only be done once onboard? I just want to be sure we don’t miss out on that opportunity.
3) I don’t know how the “upsell fairy” works… I know the upgrade fairy has been on holiday, but if I’m working with a travel agent, do you know if Carnival’s upsell team still comes calling at all? At the moment, there’s at least one Cat 12 showing available, and while I can’t necessarily swing the full cost of upgrading, meeting in the middle (even higher than where the normal upsells go for) might just work for the sake of my honeymoon…
Anyway, the important details, mostly for the sake of Butch and the newlywed game.
Thanks so much!
Dave Friedman (and the soon to be Mrs. Julie Friedman)
Priceless John…Just priceless! Love it! Can’t wait to go down those slides myself! I have to wait until September of 2010 to see the Carnival Dream for my self…anticipation is making me , umm crazy??? LOL!

John..Please reply……….Thanks for the videos. The water slide episode was so much fun to watch and also the screaming of “little” Boys…Can’t wait to be a passenger on the Dream very soon is why I’m writing. A while back I mentioned that my husband and I will be sailing on the TransAtlantic and would appreciate being in Ken’s dining room. You said to remind you when it’s closer to the time and you would see what you could do about it. So am asking for your assistance. Not sure how much info you need but…..we’ll be on the Dream’s TA Oct 27th..our last name is Sukman..room #2443..have early dining 6:oopm..prefer table with fellow cruisers…Also if I’m not being too bold..could you send a little surprise to my husband? He’s 71 years old and still working to support my habit of cruising. People ask him when he’s going to retire and he replys “I can’t, she just booked another CRUISE”..Thanks so much for your time and for all that you do for all of us. Can’t wait to see you on board in Bermuda. Hope that is still on your schedule. Sorry to make this so long. Before ending..I send my love to your girls. Little Kye is growing by leaps and bounds and getting cuter all the time…Regards from Houston..A&W
Dear John (please reply),
Generally how long does it take for a brand new ship to start taking 5 day cruises? I am DYING to sail the Carnival Dream, but a 7 day is just not feasible for my family at this time. Can I expect some 5 days to be added to the itinerary soon?
Thank you!,
April
Dear John,
Thanks for your blog. No questions or requests!Just wanted to say hello!
Am looking forward to the Dec 3rd cruise on the Carival Dream!
You were our CD on the Carnival Glory, we still enjoy your Bedtime Story. The guests you had with you were awesome. Can’t remember the gentleman’s name, but if memory serves he was an undertaker and have to drop to one knww and recite his love to his wife , no matter whre they were…Have also cruised with Todd on the Carnival Conquest, his deck party was the largest attended party we have been to on our cruises.
Thank you to Carnival for their respect of the miltary. My husband is a Vietnam vet and it’s means alot to him to be appreciated.
Kye is just beautiful, my best to Heidi…
*big smiles*
Can’t wait ’til I go on Carnival Dream this February’10 !
